So, i get these emails from different fitness forums and lately this topic is coming up alot.
I reviewed some of my past entries and a lot of times, although i may be in a good calorie range, my sugar is way (wayyyyy) over 100% allowance!
I can attribute this to my yogurts, soy or other alternative milks, fruit and "healthy" organic granola bars. But WOW, could that be the culprit to my stagnant loss??? I feel like i work so hard to just stay at the same level of overweight I am now!!!!
What is your take on the whole sugar ordeal? do you monitor yours?? For those who have successfully lost weight were you extra cautious of sugar?
Please keep in mind that I am addressing natural sources of sugar. Not obvious processed foods such as cookies, cakes, doughnuts.....
Thank you for your input.
I have a real sweet tooth, but comparing my weight loss previously when I consumed tons of natural sugars to now, where I consume practically none in comparison, not only have I noticed I don't have to pee nearly as much (which really is awesome) but the weight loss has been pretty easy and I never crave foods/don't really get hungry.
Foods also are a lot more satisfying. The last time I was in school I probably got most of my calories from carbonated all natural/real fruit drinks or naked juice. This time around all I really drink is water, and its a lot easier.
Also, consuming a lot of sugar makes your body demand a lot more water. I don't know if it applies to you, but I'd try using your body to tell you if you're having too much sugar a day through your bladder and how often you have to use the restroom. I went from having to go 7 or so times a day to 3.. and my blood sugar wasn't high or anything (naturally I have pretty low blood sugar, almost as low as my friend with GSD).
Hope this helps!
