Sugar Intake and Fruits
I was wondering how many grams of sugar is the maximum you should be getting daily and if you have to watch how much sugar your getting from fruits. Today I eat two apples and a cup of grapes. I do not use any added sugars, so I was wondering if I should be concerned with my sugar intake if it mostly comes from fruit?
Thanks
No. Fruits are very healthy and have tons of vitamins. Enjoy them. :) Seriously any diet that advocates cutting fruits out is not a healthy one. IMHO.

I agree-everyday i have grapefruit, cantaloupe and honey dew melon, banana, pineapple, apple and find no side effects at all. whereas if i consume some processed sugar like high fructose corn syrup i almost always feel groggy a while later
fruit fills you for longer and tastes good too. Remember-it's from the earth-its natural-go for it :)
Thanks for the replies. I am eating grapes again for my night time snack.
Every article, magazine, healthy site is different but i did read some where that you should consume about 70g of sugar (both added and natural) per day.
I read somewhere else that you can consume about 40g in added sugar but then if you compare that to the 70g a day, it means you can eat more added sugars than natural sugars, which is not right.
So i usually stick to the 70g a day and try to get the majority from natural sugars, but sometimes i wonder how much added sugar i should be having a day. I may have 300cal left and want a 200cal chocolate bar. Sure i won't go over my calories but i may go over my sugar intake.
I can never win lol
If it's a real chocolate and not chocolate flavored sugar candy they pass as chocolate, it won't have a lot/any added sugar.
Example: 72% Dark Chocolate from Trader Joes. For 3 pieces 220 Cal: 19 grams of carbo hydrate, 3 grams of fiber.

The best thing to do is use common sense
Too much of ANY food is bad - too much fruit is bad, too much chocolate is bad, heck, you can even have overdose on vegetables if you tried!
Fruits are great but if you fill up on too many fruits then you may not be able to fit in other nutritious things you need
Too much sugar can be bad for some people - I am predisposed to hormonal issues, so my skin is not at its best when I have too much sugar - I don’t eat processed sugar either, so too much fruit sugar or honey or maple syrup is not good for me
Every one has difference tolerances, my dad is diabetic and cannot eat a lot of fruit even though it is natural sugar.
Don’t research it too much because some experts shun sugar, and other experts say to eat LOTS of it, so the only way YOU can know what is best for you, is to see what feels best!

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
