I was reading the "what do you mean" rant and noticed that a few people mentioned some nicknames they're called by their SO's. Made me think about all the names I've called, been called, overheard and heard of.
My boyfriend has a bunch of little names for me, some better than others.
My favorite: little girl (I know. It's weird, kinda creepy. But something about the way he says it is really cute.)
Most hated: pu**ytits (Yes. He actually calls me that. All the time. In public. In front of my mom.)
As for me, I usually call him Llama (one of those long story/insider things), Black (you know... cuz he is) or Roy Boy.
I'd love to hear your quirky terms of endearment......
Also, If someone else, at some point in time, has started a thread like this one... I don't care. I obviously didn't see it, I'm not going to look for it. I feel the need to add this because some of you weirdos who have read every single post this site has ever had get really pissy about that....
Heh.
I mostly just call her "Pook" (as in Pookie from Garfield).
She doesn't have a pet name for me.
(and if you HAD found a previous thread like this and bumped it, you'd get the cries of "zombies!" and "must..eat...brains!!" - can't win!)
I get:
dookie, dookie fart, noodle, poodle (i hate this one), smoodle, **** (alright, that was a bad one apparently.. its a type of dumpster in which you deposit semen) (and yeah, i prefer that to poodle heh), cornbread, wifey, butterbean (i like this one), farty, fartbean, baby, stink button, and yes.. sugartits
He gets:
princess, captain dookieface, dook face potato, princess dookieface, turtle, turdmonkey, love machine, pookie, fartface, fartmonster, sir farts a lot, sugar/shug,
We go through cycles, we're in the dookie/fart cycle currently. When we were in the food cycle, he had me in his phone as cornbread and a picture of jiffy cornbread came up whenever I called.
"hey fartbean!"
"um, did you just call me a turd?"
hehe

BAHAHAHAHA yes she does.
mine calls me "sweet pea", not very original I know and I am sure hes called other girls the same but I love it and think its really sweet.
Other than that....ummm just spin off names of my real name.
I call him "dear". He calls me no names at all. Not even my real name. He just starts talking and I instinctively know when it's me he's talking to. He says my name maybe 3 times a year.
My kids on the other hand- I have a gazillion nicknames for them. None of them being "sugar tits" though.
My husband is Italian, and we speak Italian at home. He calls me "Papera" (or some variation like Paperina, Paperotta, etc) which means duck. This is the result of one time when I wore the wrong shoes for a long walk and ended up waddling home. He will also refer to me simply as "bella", which means pretty.
I usually call him "bello" (handsome) or "tesoro" (treasure).
We both often use the term "Amore" (love) when we talk to each other.
We rarely call each other by our given names.
My boyfriend usually calls me Sweetness. He occasionally calls me hun, honey, dear, etc... but it's usually Sweetness. It feels kind of odd when he calls me by my real name anymore.
I occasionally call him dear, but I usually use his first name. I've never been one for giving petnames, especially after working with a bunch of waitresses for 1 1/2 years. They call everyone hun, dear, etc...
Cakes, Cakey, Bunny
I called him by his name and attached things to it like -bear or -bean. ;D
He calls me wifehead, nooner, mah babeh, tater-tot, needle-d**ck and favorite.
I call him punky, husbandhead, dude, el presidente and hangsun.
One time, after months of fighting over the covers at night, I called him Blanket Hog in a fit of rage. Separate covers saved our marriage.
My husband calls me Babe. I think he means in a sexy lovey dovey way, but I always think of the pig.
He calls me cutie and I call him oppa (Korean word for older brother that girls also call their boyfriends). We both use 'babe' as well but the others are more frequently used.
Hubby and I go through "name phases" as well. We hardly ever use our actual names - only in "serious" times (not very often).
I've been Polly-anna, Chiquita, Martha (as in Stewart, grr), Miss Perfect, Smarty-pants, and others (depending on my mood and what's going on).
A while ago he was a Mog (after Spaceballs was on TV). He's been called Freckles, Einstein, Genius, Sinatra, Q, Poo-head, Speedy, Schlong and many other names I can't think of right now. He says, "Call me whatchu want, just don't call me late for dinner." (funny guy, eh?)
My husband calls me dear (alot), honey, hot momma, sexy momma, sweetie, or butterbritches (what?!?)........most of the time its dear in person and sexy momma in a text message though. Funny to hear him call my real name although it is nice to hear it every now and then. My kids call me mommy most of the time...........if they hear daddy call me something else that becomes my new name for the next hour!
I call my husband dear (go figure), big daddy, or hey you (if he is watching tv or working on his laptop).
My husband calls me Babe. I think he means in a sexy lovey dovey way, but I always think of the pig.
Thanks. Now I will, too. lol. I think babe may be the most commonly used.
I'd hate being called Honey or Dear. Ew. It's like the relationship equivalent of ma'am...
We both call each other Joe at times, but he almost always calls me Joe.
I call him ogre, Jethro, Chud, chadley, sissypants and girly. I called him Miss Grouchy Mcsissypants for about a month.
Ummm,
No interesting names here. We both use "sweetie" a lot. I call him Joe, he calls me Jen. You know, 'cause those are our names.
I guess it would be kinda fun to call him something like "sokabulla".

can I steal that?!
I forgot the scouts call him princess grumpy.
My wife and I tend to work in parallels.
I'll call her "girly girl", she'll call me "manly man"... that sort of thing.
We also absconded with some names from media. For a long time (well, still I suppose) we were "Honey Bunny" and "Pumpkin" from Pulp Fiction.
And occasionally I'll call her my bitch... at which point she protests and calls me HER bitch. Then we're off on a tirade of the nastiest stuff we can come up with that usually ends up with that kind of sex which is almost, but not quite, angry... you know, that whole "Oh, you think I'm a bitch? We'll see who the bitch is!" type thing.
We're clearly dis-functional. ![]()
I call him bear and variations on the word bear (mushy bear, silly bear, sweetie bear, angry bear, bear bear, etc.) He usually calls me babe.

DH uses that one for himself, especially after certain meals.
I am "Aimee-boo" or sweetie. The dog is known as "The little idiot," and so DH is (affectionately) "The big idiot", sweetie, sweetheart, or simply "Husband."
