Can you suggest some healthy, easy, store bought snacks to share in my 4th grader's class?

I need to provide snacks that are healthy and easy for my son's fourth grade teacher to hand out in class, with no fuss and no mess.  There is no refrigerator to store snacks in either.

Answer

Fourth graders usually like animal crackers, teddy grahams, and goldfish crackers in little snack packs.    Cheese Nips Sport Crisps and Smilin' Ritz Bits have been reformulated to be healthier. Fruit needs no refrigeration when eaten on the same day, and little apples and brunches of grapes are popular and don’t generate a lot of refuse.  Cheese and crackers and small cartons of yogurt, gelatin or pudding are good and keep in a cooler, and, of course, there are many opportunities if you can bake and individually wrap snacks.  Check with the teacher about the school’s policy on nuts, peanuts and wrapped foods and see if anyone in the class has a food allergy.
