SUGGESTION: Posting via iPhone safari?!

Quote  |  Reply

I tried to post an entry in my journal using my iPhone. I could do it in Calorie Count Classic, but not in CC+.

The reason is that the nice entry box (like the one I am typing in right now) is not a simple text widget. Maybe there can be a button (or an option to add to the URL, like "&classic_text=1") that would simply present the classic dumb text entry box?

That would make it possible for iPhones, Blackberrys and other mobile devices to post journal and forum entries.

Seconded.

Drives me crazy.  I read forums on the bus on my iPhone, but I can't comment!  So frustrating!

Bump. I have not seen any replies about this. Thanks for any answers. Not being able to post to the Forums, Groups, or my Journal is definitely annoying.

I can make journal comments on my blackberry, but not forum posts.

Stupid iPhone and Apple's intolerance of non-quicktime plug-ins (i.e. Flash or other competitors).

Clearly there's got to be more people that this is annoying.  Maybe change your title to include iPhone?

Try sending this idea directly to the site administrators via the Contact button (at the bottom of every page).  Just be sure to change the pull down address to something other than the default.

Is there any movement on this issue? If I could post via the iPhone, it would be truly sweet.

Or maybe there is someone I can work with on your end to point out which interfaces and APIs I would have to use so I can create an integrated iPhone Application (for downloading via the Apple AppStore) to interface with the site. This would also create a wave of new CC users.

Best regards,

---Kayvan

An iPhone app would really be first prize...

Bump.

Bumped again.  My morning bus ride would be so much more entertaining if I could actually post, rather than just read forums.  :)

I have the Blackberry, and sometimes when I go to add a food to my log, the grams, oz button doesn't work.  Frustrating...
