I am trying to loose some weight but most of all I want to change my eating habits.. I use to go all day without eating, just drinking tea and when I got home from work I would eat anything.. But now I have been eating healthier well trying I eat 3 small meals with healthy snacks in between I still sneak a sweet in once in awhile.. I also joined a gym since I had my bladder repaired I should be able to get more active..

Any food suggestion or any ideas on what I can to do about my bowels.. I have always had trouble going to the bathroom but for the last couple of months I just cant go I have been buying anything to make me go and the pain is just killing me.. At times I look like I am ready to have a baby because my stomach is so hard and rounded..  Any ideas would be very much appreciated..

Thanks again!!! I love this site

Fiber does wonders. Include it in every meal and snack (trust me its a lot easier then you think). Here is an example...
Breakfast: Oatmeal (any other whole grains), cereal etc.
Snack: Apple, loads of fiber
Lunch: Whole grains again! maybe a whole wheat sanwich or pita with green veggies
Snack: The have light 'n fit yogurt now with added fiber
Dinner: FIBER
haha hope this helps, it got me regular
Fiber is great but you need to get out what is already built up.  You should consult with a Dr. they can prescribe more than what is available over the counter for laxatives.  Get rid of the waste first then keep fiber in your diet to keep you regular.
I read something once that I've kept in my head ever since...

Fiber is like a garbage disposal - it only works if you keep water running at the same time.

So, yes fiber is essential, but make sure you're drinking plenty of water with high fiber foods or you can actually cause another clog!

Oh, mommy, I had a similar problem, especially after my hysterectomy, and I had to be "cleaned out" with some nasty stuff.  However, it worked, and since then, I take an over-the-counter stool softener (not a laxative!) a couple of times a week and keep that fiber (and water!) going.
Thanks for the advise.. I did get a prescription for this problem before but I have no idea what I did with the piece of paper.. I will have to look for it.  Very unorganized lol!!! Laxatives do not help me at all so I am going to stop using them all they do is give me lots of pain..

Thanks again
Try eating prunes. I love them very cold out of the refrigerator. Also a glass of warm water with lemon juice, not the fake lemon juice, use real lemons!
