For merylwhite1.

You asked me which 10 super foods I am basing my eating around.

I have started taking Decaslim, which is a sliming pill made up of 10 superfoods. I am not into diet pills and was not looking for one but came across it when I was in a weight loss site. It sounded healthy and had good reviews. Its been in Time magazine and on Oprah. (I would be interested in peoples opinions.) I have only been on it for a few days, but don't get cravings like I used to and can give or take food. I eat because I have to not because I want to and have more energy which is great.

Deca slim is made up of the following:

Green Tea (50% caffine), Tonalin CLA powder, viscofibre, Vitablue Wild Blueberry, Broccoplus, Futureceauticais Spinach 7000ppm Lutein, LinumLife Extra Flax Seed Lignan, Lycomato beads 3% lycopene, Allicin powder, Resveratrol. It does not tell you the amounts of each.

Please not I am not promoting this. Just interested in others feedback.

The 10 superfoods vary according to various experts, but are based around some of the following:

Oats, yoghurt, blueberries,spinach/brocolli (all dark green vegi's ) ,nuts( Almonds),tomatoes, citrus fruits, oily fish (salmon, sardines etc) Herbs, Green tea, avocado's, brocolli, chilli's, cinnamon, eggs, flaxseed/linseed, garlic, dark green lettuce, Manuka honey.

Have only been on it for 4 days so cannot give you a weight loss yet but will when I have my weigh in.

I am no expert. This is just what I have researched off the web.

Looking forward to your feedback

Helen

There was a rogram on TV a few days ago that was looking into the diet industry to see if anything actually works. One of the things they did was look at diet pills.

The Doctor doing the research wrote to as many diet pill comanies that they could find and not a single one had any scientific studies that were done to the standard expected in medical trials...that is that each study was repeated and separate trials with placebos were compared.

It was also interesting because the doctor did her own study, with a trail of 15 random individuals and gave them her own diet pill. After 2 weeks 80% of the group had lost weight and they were all saying how much it helped.

Turns out the entire group was given a placebo, however the 80% result would be enough to claim that the pill worked even though it had no active ingredients.

The reason the people actually lost weight was because 1) They THOUGHT it would and 2)Unconsiously they were doing other small things that attributed to weight loss like eating more healthily

So this new pill you have found...is it REALLY suppressing your appetite, or is it down to your mind?

A few months ago i ended up quite stressed and crash dieted, eating hardly anything and after a few days of this the hunger pangs werent so bad and i didnt really notice them.

Its really hard to say weather its working or not. I take one in the morning with a large glass of water then do a 1/2 hour cardio work out and find I am not hungry after it.  usually have breakfast around 10am.  I lost nearly 10lbs the first week but was so dissappointed the 2nd week as I had lost nothing. Think I will be struggling this week to. Had one naughty day the second week, ate hot cross buns!!! but didnt think that would be enough not to lose anything. Will keep plodding along though.

I've heard about Deca Slim as well, and just received the Pill and 2 Day Fat Flusher.  I've been reading alot about the Fat Flusher, so am not surprised that it did nothing (or seems like it did nothing) as that seems to be the consensus.

I'm learning about the super foods, etc as it seems they send you the pills in a bottle and leave you to fend for yourself.

This is day 3 for me.  The first two days I did just the Fat Flusher but then today is the first regular pill day.

I have noticed more energy and now that I think about it, less trips to the kitchen.  I agree with alot of the reviews that say appteite supression is in the mind, but if I'm not consciously thinking about it, and am just now realizing I haven't eaten NEARLY as much as I did yesterday - that blows their theory out of the water.

Anyone have any supplemental info (food plans, exercise plans) to accompany these pills?

WOULD REALLY LIKE TO TRY THESE COULD DO WITH SOME ENERGY MYSELF AN SOMETHIN TO STOP ME FEELING CONSTANTL HUNGRY... IM TAKING ALLI HAVE BEEN FOR 5 DAYS BUT THEYRE NOT AN APPETITE SUPPRESENT SO IM STAVINGEmbarassed

I started taking Deca Slim, but am going to send it back.  What I really liked when I ordered it is that it seemed to be a natural product.  I did not realize, though, how much caffeine it had!  I took it for one day (yesterday), and I am still having bad reactions to the caffiene (this night).  I did like, however, how it totally stopped any hunger.  I was totally satisfied on a small salad for lunch and did not want any supper!  I did not get my full appetite back until later the next day (I only took it for the first day.)

If you can handle the caffiene overload, then this product will probably help you to lose weight.

Do you have to order decaslim in the mail, or can you get it at a nutrition store?  About how much is it?

I think I'm going to cry.  When did CC become a forum for diet pill users?  It's almost like the threads about healthy eating and exercise are being phased out.

From what I learned about Decaslim, it is said that it might help with overall health/nutrition (such as a vitamin would), but there is no proof that it helps with weight reduction.

I swear I'm going to go into the snake medicine business to make my fortune!

Sorry.... I'm in a cynical mood tonight.

I tried Decaslim simply because their customer service was very responsive.  I got answers to my questions via email within 24 - 48 hours.  So I gave it shot and was surprised I liked it.  It surpressed my appetite and gave me energy for my day.  I was eating really good and excercising so I probably would have lost weight anyway but felt like this gave me an edge (maybe it was all mental).

Anyway I used it for 2 months and would recommend it, plus I thought the price was reasonable, but not cheap.

Hope everyone on decaslim is going good, as no updates since 20 june.

I have just started it - as been off caffeine for about 3 years that was a bit of a head rush - but can cope with that.

Only on my second day, but have really noticed the lack of hunger and lack of wanting to eat - and I've tried appetite suppressants before but i eat cos i want to not cos i need to or am hungry.

My kids noticed my burst of energy yesterday.Laughing

Does anyone have details of where you can get it in UK - as i got from states which works out a tad pricey!!

Good luck to everyone however you try to lose it Kiss

Oh, I never saw this the first time round.

The ingredients in the pill all look healthy. So long as you are also eating a healthy diet I don't see anything wrong with supplementing. This is something I do myself anyway - eat a nutritious, healthy diet but take a multivitamin to fill in any gaps.

The caffeine and fibre the pills contain would account for reduced appetite, as well as an increase in satiating foods (fibre and fat) in the diet. Fewer vitamin deficiencies could also explain the decrease in cravings.

Reservatrol is the compound found in the skin of red grapes that make red wine so good for you in small quantities.

It's so weird, nobody has the same feedback as me. I have been taking this for four days nw, rather than me losing weight, Decaslim actually made me gained weight. I also can't sleep at night nowadays, it didn't supress my apetite at all, it actually made me hungrier than before I took this pill. It also gave me some dizzy spells if I took too much water with it. The fat flusher actually made me lost 2kg-equivalent to 4pounds, but then I gained 1kg or 2 pounds back with the Decaslim. Does anyone have a clue as to why I actually gained weight rather than losing weight? It's so weird!

For those of you unfamiliar with resveratrol, you can find a lot of good information online about it. It's actually quite intriguing, although I really feel like it's too earlier to include it in supplements, it can be found naturally in different fruits and even red wine.
