Ok, there, I said it.

I am officially bored.  Everyone is watching the freakin' game!  The hubster & I went to walk the dog.  It was a beautiful day, 60's, sunny, and deserted! Its a metropolis (Atlanta), I mean, where is everyone?

So this thread is for anyone who doesn't care for the game, who is wondering where everyone went and wants to hang out.

*makes mimosas & sets 'em out, waits & hopes she isn't the only one*

I do not care for football whatsoever.

Both of my roommates are gone, so I'm going to take this opportunity of peace and quiet to get some homework done. Try to find something productive. :)

Yes! its dumb, and they are all sitting around eating avocados and chips and drinking beer and omg its a boring danger zone, a trap. no thank yeeee!

so i went for a run! hahahahah. like i can run. i cant run. but i went for a run anyway, did week one of the c25k (couch to 5k) with the pod cast on the i pod. like you say, pretty deserted in the old metropolis, although there were all sorts of symphony people out with their symphony insterments loading into their cars as i passed the opera house on my way back home.

i ran down at the water. its cold here today, windy. there were about five other people out, that was it. and a guy in his yellow rain slicker out on the dock feeding birds.

everyone in my neighborhood must be having parties, because there was no parking when i got back.....

mspw- I totally relate to you about this! I'm in a high school dorm and most American kids went home. Some kids are watching the game. But at least, most Asian students here don't. Simply because we don't understand American Football...and we don't really care about it either!

Yea, ya know, I feel like a Stranger in a Strange Land.  I'm a Georgia native but am kinda afraid to say I don't like football cuz I might get pummelled!  I don't get it at all.  Its barbaric, violent.  But what I dislike the most is how you can be in a bar, having a perfectly normal conversation with someone and all of the sudden in the middle of your sentence, their eyes move from your view and up to the tv right above your head and scream, "Yea!  Woo-Hoo! Yea!?" And its totally socially-acceptable.

That's what I don't like about football, and all spectator sports.  But I guess, as some psychologists have theorized, it has replaced the need for war.  Huh, GW Bush, really?  Uh, come again?

and i can never track the ball on the tv, like there are so many huge dudes out there and they are all running around, and its so far away, no wonder they made big screen tv's so people could actually see the ball when they watch foot ball.

it takes 30 minutes to play the last two minutes of a game. hahahah.

The puppybowl is where it's at in my house!! :)

The game is on here, just for the commercials. They are better than last years offerings.

Im not American yet I live in America and I think the super bowl is extremely idiotic and disgusting.  Just a stupid, Meaningless day that everyone makes a BIG huge deal of.  Plus not to e mention the danger of going out on this day we almost got hit by a crazy idiot who was drunk and just kept on going.  I dont fit with America and this is one of the main reasons.  Had to rant.

Yessss!! I watched puppybowl too :D I liked Eli the Aussie, I just wanted to snuuuuggle with him!

I'm getting a puppy on Saturday so it was getting me even MORE excited!

I agree. Superbowl sucks and it is the devil! I hate it for personal reasons as well as obvious ones. First of all, people go nuts over a stupid game. Hello people! Do you play this game and make millions by doing so? If not, then you have no reason to go nuts over a game. It's a game and does not get people through life. I don't like people's reactions when a team loses or wins whether it be professional football or college football. Second, security measures seem to lax when this stupid event happens. My father was robbed and seriously beaten on a Superbowl Sunday. How dare the apartment manager leave the main gate open for anyone to come through! I can say so much more about this yearly event but I won't. Anyway, I can't argue with the Puppy Bowl suggestion.I'll give that show a try since no one will be betting on who wins or loses. Innocent

Yeah, I'm not into sports at all. I had a chat with my friends who moved to Baltimore, filling her in on the previous night's encounter, and then drew some comics instead. Listened to old Nick Cave stuff the whole time, didn't even put the tv on once.

The night before though us girls had fun teasing the dudes we were with that they should all watch The Superbowl together, and they were all "Whut?" cuz they're all too punque rawk for that. :)

Yeah, I can't stand football and have the misfortune of living near Buffalo, a sports-crazed town where the people are so busy worrying about sports they don't notice the state & local politicians bending them over to steal their property and violate their rights.

I cooked a nice meal of salmon with veggie stir fry, played with the kids a bit, and began prepping the kitchen area around our stove-top for a cabinet removal / new stove installation next week sometime.

Our tv is upstairs in the "guest room".  Main use is for the kids to watch dvds and vhs tapes.  We don't even have cable.   Out of site, out of mind.  It's so much quieter without it...

Well, now its over and all those crazed fans had to go to werk nursing a nasty hangover and indigestion!

Oh wait, it doesn't necessarily require football to induce those.
