I know I'm treading on thin ice by asking this but does anyone out there have any suggestions for supplements? I work out regularly, but work in an office, and need a boost.
I've heard Redline is good, but that it makes you sweat ALOT... any feedback :) ???!!!!

I knew this was going to be a touchy subject :)
lauranopie - Coachdee knows what she's talking about! All of those supplements are crap.
When I'm feeling tired sometimes, I'll order a shot of espresso from Starbucks. I've found that chewing minty gum helps make you more alert too.
As a last resort, I would go for a RedBull... VERY last resort because it's high in sugar. Still better than a supplement tho in my opinion.

I work in the supplement industry, not specifically diet supplements though we do carry those, and I can tell you they do not work. Most of them just make you jittery and speed up your heart rate the rest don't live up to thier claims. Some such as Chromium can be of help, but only to certain people.
Your best bet, is a good moderately priced multi vitamin, possibly some extra calcium and magnesium, and depending on your situation maybe a coq10 or a b-complex. Other wise make healthy eating choices, control your portions, get exercise and face things one day at a time, one meal at a time, one snack at a time.
Contrary to what the advertisements would have you believe there are no magic bullets. If there were we would all be healthy and this place wouldn't need to exist.
Right now the only answer is lots of hard work, research, effort and time.

I stay far, far away from caffeine/sugar/mystery metabolism booster stuff. Not all supplements are bad though. Take a good (good = food source, not chemical, among other things) multi-vitamin. I really Dr. David Williams' Daily Advantage or Patrick Holford's Daily Vitality. Yes, they're more expensive than the 1-a-day from your grocery store. Guess why.
You CAN work in an office and still eat right and work out. Work is time consuming, granted, but it can be done. There are NO shortcuts, don't get sucked into thinking there are.

I don't think Lauran's intentions were to be sarcastically crucified-Hence the crack comment-She's not looking for a "crack supplement". Why don't we be more supportive and less sarcastic. Nobody takes advice from someone who is going make fun of you instead of help you.
Lauran I think that a B vitamin can help you with your energy problem.
