"Surprise!" What food did you think you'd hate but you actually loved?
So what's yours? Name all those foods you thought would be gross, but when you tried them, you loved them!
Mo's Bacon Bar, by Vosges. It's a 41% cacao milk chocolate bar with smoked applewood bacon bits and smoked alderwood salt.
Also the bacon doughnut from Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, Oregon. It's a maple bar with two strips of bacon on top.
You wouldn't think those combinations would work, but boy, do they ever.
This is probably the wrong website to mention those, though :\

At first it had to be cubed up in the tiniest, unrecognizable pieces. Then I could handle it sliced. Finally was able to handle cutting it up myself and it has an amazing specific taste thats really good.

cottage cheese! I looked at it and that was it i never even wanted to come within 50 ft of that "thing!" But then we were at costco one fine day and they were having samples of none other than cottage cheese, so i ate it and i fell in love with it! It took some time getting used to the texture but i eat that ever single morning for breakfast, and i seem to be doing fine right now! Yay for cottage cheese!

Raw tuna
Garbanzo beans -- and I just discovered TOASTED garbanzo beans which are super yummy. Am going to experiment making my own tonight so that I can control the salt. If the experiment is a success, I'll share the recipe. They should be super low in calories and have fantastic fiber and protein benefits.
Tomatoes -- never thought they had much taste until I moved to Italy and discovered what a tomato is supposed to be. I even eat them raw with a bit of salt and maybe a dash of oil.
artichoke hearts.
I remember hating these when I was young. One day I saw that they had brussel sprouts in the individual steam fresh frozen veggies...they're awesome!
