The Oreo Cookies - the stop sign shaped ones, not the ones with the white stripes - NOT a waste :)

The Ritz Party Mix - Pretzel, Chex Mix, Ritz, Cheezits (i think)  HUGE WASTE

The ritz party mix is the one i meant...oopsy...but the chex mix ones are surprisingly good...i like the strawberry yogurt flavored ones. they are tasty but really no different that having a baggy of cereal so in that respect it is kind of a waste.

I've either never seen the yogurt ones, or havne't looked hard enough.

The thing i like about the oreo ones are, much like the original oreo.. the "oreo taste" sticks around for a while.  Kinda gross, but it easily confuses the mind.

So i saw these new 100 calorie packs of mini peanut butter crackers, like the kind that come in the 6 pack only smaller. I got the cheddar crackers with the pb and they are so yummy...you get like 12 in a pack and it's a way to have a more unhealthy food in moderation! Also love popcorn, quaker mini delights, ritz party mix, and occasonally the oreo candy bites or reeses snacksters.

Also, yogurt and ICE CREAM cups that are around 100 calories rock.

The good: Yoplait fatfree yogurts! Wonderful flavors for 100 calories! 100 calorie pack of crasians. I use half a pouch at a time and put them in oatmeal, salads, cereal and otehr things.

The waste of money: Little Debbie's 100 calorie iced brownies. Wow!  what a waste. They're so tiny and not that good. It's sad really lol. Also the oreo thin crisps. WTF are those? They are sad too lol.

The only 100 calorie packs I've seen that are worth the calories are:  blue diamond almonds, and (as mentioned already) craisins and popcorn.

And while they may be worth the cals, at this point, for me, they're not worth the money.  I understand the convenience and all, but I don't have a problem with just weighing the stuff myself.

the 30 cal popcorn by snack a jacks (salt and vinegar flavor) are amazing...... so much for only 30 calories.

also organix cocoa cookie bites are good value for 105 calories...

the best however are iced jems . 98 cals a pack ....best 100 cal pack ever .....

3 pretzol rods - 120 calories! Yum, and it takes me forever to eat them.

3/4 cup frozen blueberries and 2 scoops fat free whipped topping - 100 calories! Yuuuuuuuuummmm

I personally believe that 100 cal popcorn packs are a waste of money. It's cheaper to buy a pack of the normal sized, 94% fat free, bags of popcorn, pop 'em, and divide into plastic bags, 100 cal each. I did that the other day and each bag amounts to 7 cups of popcorn (which is a lot!)

=D

agreed but i still would like to know which ones, of the overly priced and largely unhealthy 100 calorie packs, give you the most bang for your calorie buck...not actual buck..lol Laughing

Healthy Choice  frozen fudge bar.  100 calories of heaven.   mmmmmm

Great.  Now I'm hungry.  Better go to bed.  'night!

i think any 100 cal packs that are chips are crackers are a waste

but i love those hostess mini cake ones, like the cinnamon streusel and strawberry ones yum!

I also love, love, love the hostess mini cupcakes in chocolate and strawberry. You get three of them and it cures my need for desserts.

I think if you like to have chips with a sandwich every once and a while and everyone else is having doritos and cheetos, etc., then it's handy to have 100 cal chip packs around. I like the Harvest Cheddar Sunchips.

I think the OP may have been referring to the Yoplait Light (they have many different flavors, whipped/thick n creamy, etc) ... 6 oz of yogurt for 100 cals.

I feel like almost all the 100 cal packs are a waste and the ones I don't are so delicious I can't buy them anyway b/c I will eat more than one.

The delicious ones are the chocolate covered pretzels and the smart bites fudge stripes and chocolate chip cookies. So so good but I had to stop buying them.

I think all 100 cal packs are a complete rip off and not worth it. It's just the same stuff you can buy in bulk just in super tiny portions at twice the price per serving.

i agree the 100 cal popcorn bags are awesome. you get so much popcorn for the calories. I haven't really experimented with a lot of 100 cal packs besides the oreo & chips ahoy but i would think those hostess 100 cal packs are not worth it w/ those 3 little cakes

I'm really into the 60 calorie puddings right now.. I like banana fudge & dulche de leche the best but there are a lot of other varities. It's sweet, cold & when you hit that 2:00 post lunch but still 2 hours before you leave the office stage, you can hardly tell it's not real sugar.

Also, 100 calorie backs of beef jerky. I'm a firm believer in the power of protein & it's much healthier.. less fattening.. than the usual spoonful or two of peanut butter I'd would usually have.

True, but microwave popcorn is gross the next day so it's still cheaper for me to make a bag of 100 calorie microwave popcorn and enjoy it rather than making a bigger bag and throwing out the rest.  I bought a hot air popper, though, and am going to switch over to that when my current box of microwave popcorn is done.

The only other 100 calorie packets I have are the Nutrigrain granola bites ("munch'ems", I think they're called).  They don't come in bigger bags and the Brown Sugar and Cinnamon flavour is remarkably tasty.  They're a little like flavoured graham crackers but with a more whole-grain texture.

the chex mix 100 calories packs are made by general mills. they are strawberry yogurt flavored chex with plain chex. they also have cheese ones and chocolate ones.

I also like the 100 calorie pretzel packs. just plain old pretzels in portion controlled sizes.

I like the quaker rice cake minis as well.

Has anyone tried the entenmann's little bites? are they better than the hostess mini cakes? what about the little debbie snacks? i guess, of the pastry 100 calorie snacks which ones are most worth the calories...not the money?

are the almond packages really really tiny? how about the craisins for anyone who has tried them.
