It has been two weeks almost and I have lost not even a half a pound!! I have been eating in my calorie zone of 1300 to 1600 calories everyday. I work out every other day for about a half hour or hour however long the kids will let me!! I am breastfeeding so I thought maybe I might need to up my calories a little I do know!! Any suggestions??
When you say it has been two weeks - do you mean two weeks of calorie counting or two weeks since your baby was born? You may not be taking in enough calories for someone who is working out AND breastfeeding. Add another couple hundred calories and give a few weeks. You want to make sure that you take in enough otherwise your body will kick in to "hold the weight" zone and you'll see no results. For me, when I workout, 1600 is my weight loss caloric intake without breastfeeding. That's why I'm suggesting eating more.
Good luck!
You are FOR SURE not eating enough! I don't work out and am breastfeeding my 5-month-old. I'm eating 2,000 to 2,100 calories a day and losing 1.5-3 pounds per week. If you're working out, you need to eat even more.
I was told to eat 300-500 calories MORE than what I was eating while PREGNANT for as long as I was breastfeeding. That's 600-800 calories over my maintenance calories (1400ish).
A couple months ago I was eating about 1800 calories and not losing any weight after the 20 pounds I lost upon delivery. Once I upped my calories, the weight came flying off and my milk production even increased.
My best advice: eat when you're hungry as long as it's healthy. I even quit counting calories because I would have freaked out if I saw how much I was eating every day. I just weighed myself Friday night and lost 3 pounds last week.
