I am going to sushi for lunch with friends
What do I order???? I want it to taste good and be healthy and low sodium!
did you search "sushi"? this question has been asked and answered about seven thousand times.
no mayo sauces. your best bet is pieces of raw fish on rice, plain tuna or salmon rolls, or veggie rolls.
I agree with courtneylauren. Watch out for rolls that contain anything fried. See if they have brown rice sushi rolls...much healthier. If you don't like raw fish, then the salmon skin roll isn't too bad for you (it's not raw).
Get edamame (sp?) as an appetizer. Very healthy for you. Miso soup is another great option, although it is a little high in sodium.
Sushi is GREAT! Loaded with protien, super low cal! Spicy Tuna, or Tuna sashimi (sp?) - avoid fried - use low sodium soy sauce and wasabi for dipping. GREAT lunch choice for one watching calories and health.
This is kind've late, but I'm going to get sushi for dinner tonight and I plan to try the "seaweed salad." I think it's supposed to be really healthy, but I've never had it before.

I stick to veggie rolls and avocado rolls, although I limit myself on those because they taste so good I eat too many and not feel good lol. Edamama and fresh veggies are good too. Oh man, I want sushi NOW! Lol
mxadams - you actually have to be careful with sushi, calorie wise, you'd be surprised. tuna, especially white tuna can be a few hundred more than you'd think. spicy tuna rolls are made with a cream sauce, which can be even higher. it's always best to check online before you go out because sushi can be deceiving. def healthy though!

The seaweed salad WAS good! I liked it. Very unique taste. I ended up eating way too much raw fish though (see edit to post in WDYET?)! Oh well. I splurged.
Sashimi for sure and make sure you get some eel sashimi too without the extra sauce they put on top ( because it's full of sugar ).... If there is "Hamachi Kama" on the menu... order that, it's absolutely DELICIOUS!!! It's the neck of the Hamachi Tuna. Also... get the steamed spinach with sesame seeds... miso soup... seaweed salad (if it's "real" seaweed!)...
