Suspicious Friends/Members

Does anyone else have their suspicions about certain "members" on here that sign up and use celebrity photos?  No description about them and as soon as they sign up-- they are your friend.  Fake journals; no interaction on the forums.  Granted-- when I first signed up as a member I didn't interact much.  And yes I know that people want to make friends here and obtain support.  But has anyone else had someone add them as a friend with a celebrity photo, a few days later be added by someone else as a friend with another celebrity photo, and a week later have another person with you guessed it-- a celebrity photo added as a friend.  And maybe by coincidence-- they sign in sporactically but all on the same day?  Is it just me? 

I wouldn't be surprised.  We've got alot of sock puppets here (people with more than one account), but they are hard to catch and require a moderator checking them out.  But if you have suspicions, you can pm any moderator with the members' user names and we can check into it.

I usually wait until someone kind of has a posting history before I'll friend someone, but that's just me.

I don't add people without a profile as friends.

Sorry, I'm a total naive n00b. Like, they're goverment spies or something? I'm totally having a brain fart on this. I haven't been around long enough for this to occur to me I guess.

I guess my question is, what would be the purpose of the ghost accounts? It's not like this is a game and we're duping points or calories..

Maybe they know you and are stalking you! :O

ive seen that with some of the guys who only add girls with a relatively attractive or uuhmmm... suggestive avatar.

I am sure *hint hint wink wink* that if you wanted to know what I am talking about you can hit my profile and see the three of the people that have added me as friends have photos of rappers and that they have all signed up within this last month and that they have all logged in today.  I have noticed a pattern that it is like every couple of days they sign in but only on the same day.  So when MR X signs in on 7/5 so does MR Z.  Now do you know what I am saying?  The photos are what did it.

 Many reasons, I guess.  Some people have nothing better to do than create alternate egos.  You know, one is the nice one and one is the crazy psycho one.  Who knows?

Celebrities need friends too!

I don't add anyone to friend list.... what does it do? It just makes a list of peoples names o.O doesn't actually grant them new secret portions of your profile or anything....

It gives you access to my secret journal entries.

could be stalking you. good for you for catching on... you can probably report them to aa moderator such as peaches and she'll keep an eye on them.

i remember han had a problem with stalkers. she posted some suggestive things which i have no problem with (pot, kettle) but they got rather ugly about it...posting in her journal and saying scary things.

learn how to use your privacy filters if you journal things youd rather keep between you and your real friends.

I know exactly WHO your are talking about, I just checked your friends list... the person came into my motivation group forum and just said 'what's up?' .. I blocked him as a user to me, and I don't think I a friend of his anymore? not sure, cause can't see but I know what your talking about.... hahaha... also, SMWhipple is there a way just to delete this person if they added you as a 'friend' ?

Oh all of the journals are private and I just mastered keeping the photos private some weeks ago-- you know the ones you use for motivation  and nothing in the nude.  But I should just change my avatar and maybe the "stalking" will end.

Yeah and you saw the other two?  Don't the pictures give it away as to that this is possibly the same person?

Is he actually doing things? ... or does he just kind of exist silently looking at you?
