Hi yall,
I was wondering if yall had any sustained energy secrets that work for you? For example, I like to eat a lot of complex carbs (ex. Spinach, brown rice, zucchini, asparagus, oat meal, soy milk) during the week. And often, about an hour before a workout/run/ride/whatever I will make myself a smoothie. Lately, I have been enjoying a banana/spinach/tahini/soy milk smoothie. I am amazed at how energized I am during my workout.
I would love any additional suggestions. I like to switch it up as much as possible.

for longer workouts (1.5hr+) i usually have gu energy gel about 30mins into the workout and then every hour or so after that. those things were also a life saver for me during my olympic distance triathlon last year.
