i swear i'm being tortured.
I go to get a peach, so I open up the fruit drawer in the fridge, and there's a fresh box of Entenmann's donuts. On top of that my mom baught apple pie. Ugh, it's so hard. But 'm fighting through it I grabbed a plum instead :|.

good for you =]
That's just cruel. :D Good job eating fruit, though. I had a nectarine and a plum today, mmmm.
mmm i never had a nectarine before.
They are in season and are a local crop in northern California; the white ones taste like candy this time of year. I like them better than peaches!
I hate to say this but the title of the thread reminded me of an Onion article... this one.
gotta try them!
but :( unfortunately I ended up having a donut. So now i'm sitting here chugging a gallon of water and hot green tea. I'm so upset with myself i couldn't resist it. But atleast I got 2 hours of exercise in today though, right? I Had 1727 (adding a little more incase, probably 1800 calories.) I sware I was doing fine until i saw those stupid donuts.

Wow, trustwomen, I really liked your Onion article ... puts things in perspective. I think a lot more people should read that ... it's sad how we've got so much to eat that we have to worry about restricting ourselves while others fight to find enough to stay alive. you've really got me thinking.
Wow.. the onion article. Just wow.
Hahaha! Oh, Onion. How I love you.
Don't worry, inmyeyes. If you exercised for two hours, you burned lots of calories. You're perfectly fine. It might help if you asked your mom to cut down on buying stuff like that, though - have you talked to her about your attempts to eat healthier?
P.S. - I love nectarines.

Wow! The onion article...yes, definitely puts things in perspective.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, one donut will not ruin you completely. Plums are yum. :D My stepdad buys donuts all the time so I know how it feels to be tempted. Reach for a nice fruit instead, like you did, or an applesauce. If you really want a tasty snack for a few more cals, make a low-fat smoothie, those are delicious.

I actually wrote the Onion and suggested a point-counterpoint titled "I swear I'm being tortured" with this theme as the point - and a Guantanamo bay prisoner testifying at his (non-habeas corpus) hearing as the counterpoint... ;-)
Inmyeyes, I'm not bashing you, I swear. I know how difficult eating healthily can be - I'm struggling with the same things you are. I just try to find humour in life.... :-)
