I swear if Joelle doesn't get voted off soon...
I'm going to have to stop watching. I'm thinking the producers had something to do with that vote. I do like Carla, she cracks me up, but the fact that her staying in the game means Joelle is also staying...ugh, irks me to say the least. Not to mention, for being best friends they don't seem to like each other all that much...
Any thoughts? Think she was spared by producers wanting to keep drama on the show? Or was it a strategic vote on the part of Jillian's team?
My thoughts : )
I was definitely shocked at first when the black team voted. I thought, oh man, they are seriously going to piss off Bob's team!! I think Jillian's team likes Carla and want her back on. And from the looks of the previews, I think she will be back on next week. And then, when Joelle falls under the yellow line, yet again, she can be voted off. I do like Carla and I think she will really do well once she's back on campus. After all, she is the heaviest female ever on TBL.
I do think that there might be a little drama now that Jillian's team didn't vote along with Bob's team. I think it wouldn't have been as bad if the black team didn't make the comments about respecting the other teams' decision.
And most importantly - I still totally love Tara!!!! I hope she wins!! xoxo
I am surprised Joelle wasn't voted off too. Carla was a bit harsh for a bit too long though. She was talking yelling about that Joelle should "sweat" and at the time Joelle's shirt was alot sweatier than Carla's. It was drenched. She actually did good this week. The producers love the drama I am sure.
Before they started voting, I told my fiance that Joelle was staying. She looked at me like I was on crack. Whenever a reality show only shows clips of people saying X is going to happen at an elimination, rest assured it'll end up being Y.
I think Jillians team voted off a strong opponent and kept a weak one...annoying move, but not a bad one.

True. Plus, from the less game-play standpoint, the red team can work together at home to lose the weight (and from the "see where they are now" shots, they are doing well), whereas I can't imagine Joelle going home and losing anything on her own (or with the support of Carla).
I was surprised, but this is nothing compared to when Amy didn't take the chance to vote off Vicky last season. Joelle will drop below the line again, hopefully once Carla is no longer dependent on her to stay.
Kind of off the subject.....
but why wasn't Dan and his partner included in the temptation competition?? Does anybody know? And nothing was said about it either.
they had no incentive to "go home to workout with their partner" maybe?
Dan is the orange team, right? I think they said that both didn't eat anything. They breezed through a few teams if neither ate.

Could be. But then that would mean both my wife and I are blind and deaf!! Because we watched that part twice and did not see Dan in the group (when they were going over the results) and did not hear them named when they breezed through those teams you mentioned.
Ok - I even missed that they had breezed through some teams, and had to ask my fiance what they'd said about the black and brown team (since they'd have no temptation, but we still saw the dad on the brown team looking at the food). I thought maybe the orange team was in that group.
Maybe they actually won, but the producers wanted the episode to focus on the Silver team? If so, verrry sneaky.
I can't stand Joelle at all and Carla was really annoying me last night, but at least she has the passion to be there. It seems like Joelle couldn't care less.
It's got nothing to do with the producers... and nothing to do with the other team's stated desire to 'give Carla a chance' - it was purely strategic. The red team represents a threat, but right now it doesn't seem like Joelle could lose a substantial amount of weight if you put her in a room with a free liposuction machine! She's dragging down her whole team because her heart's just not in it. I hoped she'd go but as soon as they said 'a shocking elimination' I knew that the other team was going to sabotage them.
And bobs... didn't they just leave the brown and black teams out of the temptation challenge this week - you can't win a prize to go home and work out with your partner if you're both on the ranch already!
Also, they keep showing Dan's partner eating like crap : ( Last week he ordered water...then 2 hot dogs and fries. This week he was eating fried chicken. I'm VERY disappointed in him and I hope he falls below the yellow line ASAP when he returns. He doesn't deserve to be there : (

Hey he only ate one piece.... unless he got hungry and got more...
I agree - he doesn't deserve to be there. But Dan needs it.

Yes, that is why we were so curious about the orange team. We thought for sure that Dan's partner would eat just about everything.

Nope, they were both in it, they quickly mentioned that neither person on either team had eaten anything.
Joelle needs to go.
i think the worst part about joelle is how much she talks when bob is training her. stop with the weird self pep-talks...
i think jillian's team voting for her to stay was a strategic vote. she is likely to fail. she's consistantly lower than everyone else. keeping the weak competitor makes them more likely to be above the yellow line. they'd just better have thought through the fact that carla won't be a weak competitor if she gets to come back.
If you look at the pictures on the Biggest Loser website for last night's recap, you can see that the orange team was not in the Temptation challenge, and there was no explanation provided for why Dan was missing. I was looking for him, because I was curious to see what his partner did!

I'm sticking with my conspiracy theory - they wanted Bob to go to Detroit with Joelle, to have the blowup with Carla, so they ignored whatever the orange team did.
