Mitchum is the best one I have found.
Are you guy or a girl?

Because I sweat a lot too.... and I use dove anti-perspirant and find it to be the best I have tried. The solid anyway.

I used mitchum too... but the gel stuff and the roll on stuff does nothing for me.
I am a big believer in Degree and its good for men and women
I have just found this New Secret formula that is pretty good.  It says it clinical strength.  I also know of one that worked for me a long time ago No Ban I think was the name.  You could probably google excessive sweating and it will pop up.  Good luck!  Sometime I just use my husbands deodorant/antiperspirant which seems to work for me as well.
My wife uses dove and in our nearly 9 years of marriage (come june 13th) and all the time we dated I never knew her to have any body odor.   That's amazing.

I use Old Spice High Endurance Deodorant myself and it controls my underarm smell very well when I exercise... however I may need to freshen it sometime after exercising.

No deodorant though is going to keep your body from sweating... and really it's a good thing for your body to sweat as it cleanses the skin and helps keep your body running cool.   When working out hard my wife and I both sweat quite a bit and she's a little 5'4" 106 pound thing and I'm just over 200.   So size for sweating doesn't matter if you are really working out.  If you aren't sweating... now that would be a problem.

I have the same problem and actually saw my Doctor about it. I now use Drysol, over the counter clinical strength. I only use it once a month and I do not sweat under my armpits at all. I still use a deodorant everyday, Dove is good. Mind you, I still sweat when I work out, just not under my armpits!
there is this stuff called Certain Dry that is SOOO powerful that you need a doctors prescription for it!

My sister has a sweating problem and she uses it.  She says it works so well that she puts it on at night and it works for the next day or two.
Yeah, Certain Dri! (spelled like that) It really works. You can get it at any regular store. It comes in a box though, so look for that.

Also, Secret just came out with a new one called Clinical Strength thats supposed to be for extra sweaters.

You can also tell your doc and get prescription antiperspirant.

You can also get botox injections in your armpits (I swear). It will (temporarily, 4 months or so) make the sweat glands there not work.

certain dri is awesome..you really dont sweat,,not a drop!  You gotta read the instructions though (put it on very dry skin ect)
Yeah, my sister said that you should NOT put it on after shaving your arm pits since it can cause serious irritation!  But it's the only thing that worked for her so it must be good!

Sorry for coming in on the middle here, but I saw this discussion and it touches on what I was looking for earlier!

I am a woman and I have the 'sweating/odor' issue too...I've had that since I was a teen, despite excellent hygiene and deodorant. I've used Secret, men's deodorant like Degree, Mitchum, Arrid, etc.  The last two don't work much at all and the others work for about a couple of consecutive days/months but then somehow stop...sort of like I have 'built up a tolerance'. Is that something you all have had too?

Certain-Dri and Drysol itched and burned for me...so it works if you only use it once a month or so?  You said not to use it after shaving your underarms, does that mean immediately after/the same day, or does that mean not using it if you regularly shave your underarms? I wondered if perhaps I was doing something wrong.

I also wonder, would diet make a difference?

i used to used dove - worked okay.

lady speed stick works really good.

or what i did (i used to sweat a lot too) was I would wear like a spaghetti strap tank top underneath my shirt. It looks cute (if you have like a v-neck shirt or anything) and instead of the sweat going on the armpit of the top layer shirt, you can't see it because the tank top absorbs it!

hope that helped :)

Thanks!  That sounds cool....yes, those tops do look cute! That's also good for the winter, keeping warm.

My biggest concern is body odor, and it's so frustrating how it seems that not much I do helps.  It comes and goes, really.  I look at the 'amount' of the active ingredient on the back of the label...like Secret has 19% and Degree for Men has 17.8%...is that an accurate impression of how it will work?  I think last time I looked at Lady Speed Stick the amount was 15% but that might not matter...

What scents on Lady Speed Stick are better, and is it true that gel or roll-ons last longer, because I have heard that but I can't stand having to wait to get dressed until it dries.

Putting on deodorant before you go to sleep helps a lot, even if you shower in the morning. I notice a big difference when I don't do this.

well, im not an expert and havent tried many different deodorants, maybe like 5? haha

um, not sure, i mean im sure the higher you get the more it will help, but i used secret before and i prefer lady speed stick over it. it also smells better.

i also dont know if gel or roll on lasts longer, because ive only used roll on. and for the scents, not sure about that either.

my friend, who is considered overweight (she tends to sweat a lot) sprays hairspray on her armpit sometimes... then she'd walk a mile to her school to hang out with friends for 4 hours on a sunny day.  she got home and had no sweat there.  but that could be unhealthy, i would look that up before trying it.

or you could just get those clinical deodorants.

one other thing is i used to sweat a lot also, but then i became more fit, tried not to wear my jacket as much, and wore those tank tops underneath.  now the only time i sweat is when its really hot/cold and when i work out! but if i do ive got my tank top to catch it (;  they are also good for when you bend down, normally they stick to you so you wont show skin :)

I use Dove, the cucumber stuff, for everyday use and...guys Speed Stick before I workout. I originally felt kind of embarrassed for using men's deoderant but apparently alot of women do it. Better than smelling bad!

In regards to diet, I find that the more onions, or garlic I eat. I have a weird chemical smell to my sweat. Sometimes even unbearable. Does anyone else get this? Like after my workout I can barely breath because of this crazy smell.
