You are my sweetest downfall...

...nutella. yeah, i totally binged on a jar both today and yesterday. i tried putting in the cupboard. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Apparently not. Then I decided to put it in the freezer. Hopefully frozen nutella won't appeal to me. The thing is, I really want to throw it away while my mom's not here, but i'm afraid she'll notice or be upset since she only got it yesterday, but then there's this other voice in my head saying "What do you care? Better in the bin than in you." terrible thought, i know. What should i do?

just chuck it and say you ate it all...then tell mum you never want to see it again (you OD'ed) LOL :D

I tried it, didn't like it, gave it back to theh person who gave it to me.

You could put it in the back of a cupboard, give it to someone who will enjoy it more and can afford the calories, tell your  mom it's a bad batch and throw it out.

This is a test.  There is always going to be temptation.
Today it is Nutella, tomorrow something else.
Put some Nutella on some celery and have a treat.  Then if you are still hungry try something else.
o i too am a nuttella whore :-D i found my way around my addiction by not depriving myself of it but allowing myself a bit on 1/2 and english muffin or 1 piece of toastlike once a week. i have found that if i deny myself of the things i love i just relaps and wind up binging on the entire jar :-D the cravings never go away but learning some self control is a life lesson <3
I've never had it. What does it taste like ?
I never eat bread. Unless there is Nutella on top. I have a Nutella jar since yesterday's Fresh Direct delivery. Therefore I just ate bread.

I just had a tablespoon or two ontop of my fiance's pepperidge farm 9 grain bread. It is freaking the best thing I have ever eaten. Oh my goodness gracious.

190 cals for 2 tbspns and 100 calories for the slice of bread. Hefty snack for sure ... Yeah, I slathered it. I enjoyed every bite. Could have eaten more, but stopped myself.

It's allowed, once in a while. Treats must be allowed otherwise I would not be able to maintain the healthy lifestyle.

nutella tastes like the most wonderfully creamy, chocolate hazelnutty thing in the whole wide world.  It's amazing.  If you've ever had rocher (that hazelnut candy) - it tastes like that.  I can't allow myself to even think about buying it, though.  Too dangerous.

If they ever came up with a "light" nutella?  it would change the world.
It's hazel nut (fortunately for me).
Oh wow that sounds really yummy Laughing I wonder if I should try it lol

OMG ..........I just looked up the nutritional information on this lil devil of a jar of heaven and it's really HELL.

Just say No to Nutella..........come on step away from the jar. LOL I'm sure it tastes wonderful as why i'm not going to even try it. I would be addicted I can feel it!

The person who comes up with a light Nutella deserves a Nobel Prize.

And shiagirl - it is best that you don't even try it or else you will get addicted.  It's like they put crack in it. xD

LMAO..............

well then I hope they come up with a lighter version soon!

isnt Nutella the worlds most evil food. Its like heroin of the food world. once a jar is open its gone. I never ever buy it. However stayed a friends house the other day we managed a whole jar and a loaf of bread just watching movies and eating Nutella. Went back to the same friends house for another night in, another jar of  Nutella with strawberries and grapes dipped in. I either going to have to give up my friend or make her give up Nutella. It may be easier to loose the friend.

Oh fat free Nutella, why havent they invented that yet? Would be heaven. Surely its possible to make it with less oil or butter or whatever it is that makes it so yummy scrummy :-)
Nutella, my preciousssss, my precioussssss

*drools*  I haven't purchased Nutella in years because I am its willing slave.  However, the jars my mom used to buy never lasted very long, especially when I was home from college.  She has since switched to "chocolate" peanut butter which I can't stand.  Much safer.

Ever made little sandwiches out of Nutella and chocolate-covered graham crackers?  DIVINE!!!
am I the only person in the world who actually doesn't like it? Lol, I've tried it, but I'm just not a fan.
I love nutella. I never buy it though. I look at the size of the jar, then the price and decide not to buy it. Luckily for me I don't believe in spending a ton of money on food. lol

Okay so I went to the grocery store with my 'healthy foods' list in hand and I'm looking at the reduced fat peanut butters and reading labels and comparing fat and sodium and all and I look up and lo and behold what do I see..........

NUTELLA!

No I pleaded with my mind it's not worth it. I know everyone is telling me how heavenly it is but it's so fattening. I picked up the jar and looked at the back of it and saw the fat grams and gasped.

Then I began hearing a voice saying come on peanut butter is like 190 for 2 Tbs so what's the difference. Then it said...........don't you want to know what everyone is talking about.

Oh dear .......I swallowed hard and put it back up on the shelf. I began looking at peanut butters again and then looked up at that 'cute jar of nutella' what a cute name that is. Hazelnuts I thought hmmmmmmmmm I love hazelnuts.

Somehow it ended up in my shopping cart. I have no idea how it got there *wink smile and in total denial.

I brought it home and opened it up and took a teaspoon and stuck it in .........

OMG ...........that stuff is sooooooooooooooo fricken good. LOL

Okay so I did stop there and I really didn't want to but I knew just one more bite would send me over the edge.

So I logged the teaspoon and started thinking of clever ways I can incorporate this lovely chocolatey hazelnutty thing into my life. LOL

I'm so glad it sits up in the cupboard with the reduced fat peanut butter so I won't be tempted by looking at it.

But I thought wouldn't that taste wonderful on some strawberries so when I go shopping again i'm going to get some strawberries and use it on those for a snack.

The devil made me do it LOL

Heh, you might be.  (well, you and smwhipple)  I honestly have never met anyone who didn't love it.  I remember the first time I ever tried it, I was at a party on a military base in my hometown.  The host had a jar of it, and we had all had a BUNCH of wine and we basically all passed the jar around the room in the dark, eating it with our fingers and watching "Trainspotting."  It was rather a surreal experience!!  (My god it DOES sound like I'm talking about some illicit drug, doesn't it??)  The stuff is so wonderfully wickedly delicious!!  I don't touch it anymore ... my kids will spread it on a flour tortilla and eat it (I have tried it, it sounds weird but it is actually very good!)

I didn't ever realize this was a Ferrero product (you know, the Ferrero Roche hazelnut chocolate candy ....)
