I had Taco Bell today! Anyone else Indulge?

It was sooo good! I love Taco Bell! So we had a short day at work today, so I didn't take a lunch, just a 15 minute break, and all I had time to eat was some carrots and broccoli. And this morning, I had a small breakfast (just a bowl of Cheerios) and I ran out of Cheerios after about two cups (I usually eat 3 or 4). Add the fact that I worked my butt off at the gym after I got off work and I had a  TON of calories left over when I got home (well over 1000). So I figured, what the heck, I deserve it, I've been craving it, and avoiding it, I'm gonna treat myself to my favorite food! I kind of pigged out and had a Big Box Meal. For those who are unfamiliar with gourmet Taco Bell cuisine that includes a quesadilla crunch-warp, a burrito, a soft taco, a small cinna-twist, and a large Diet Coke. I know it seems like a lot (and it is) but there was a time when I would eat that, order another burrito, and still finish my fiance's meal! Anyway, when I was done and put the meal into my food log I was relieved that I still had 200 calories left! I'm not going to eat anymore, it just feels good to know that I had so many calories in one meal and still didn't go over my limit! I feel great! Just hope I don't gain from all the sodium and water retention (I'm drinking a bottle of water as write this). Anyone else indulge today?

Oh, I love Taco Bell!  Like, obsessively.  In high school, my friends and I had a Taco Bell night every week.  I'm jealous!

I did indulge today.  There was a street fair right outside my apartment building, and I had funnel cake!  I only ate about 1/3 of it, my husband ate another 1/3, and the other 1/3 fell on the ground.  But it was great, and totally worth the cheat Wink

1/3 of it fell on the ground? What a waste! But I suppose the "30 second rule" wouldn't apply here. But yes, I love Taco Bell, too. I mean, it was like, my default food. Taco Bell always sounds good!

"I dunno."

"Taco Bell?"

"Yea, that sounds awesome!"

Once in a while shouldn't be bad. I do the same thing, I just make sure I won't go over my calorie limit. Just be honest with yourself and work your butt off at the gym.

Not today, but Saturday.  Had some friends come in from out of town.  We had Chinese for lunch and I'd been craving General Tso's Chicken for weeks, so I had it.  I estimated about 1200 calories, but man was it worth it!  I also was good for the rest of the day, still came in under my calorie goal for the day and took a nice long walk that evening, so actually, I feel fine about it! :)

I love Taco Bell!! I order from their fresco menu and you get taco bell faves for a tad less calories!! They are yummy!! I indulge from time to time and im losing weight and still losing inches too!! I think it keeps me on my diet actually!!

Well, yesterday we had our yearly company "picnic" (ended up inside of our receiving dock because it was threatening to rain/did rain earlier before the cook out started). I purposely saved calories for the event (only ate 700 between when I woke up and 5pm, when I got off of work and could go to the cook out), and some steak, some chicken, some potato salad, a slice of cake and a cupcake. =D

I was almost too-full afterwards. But the food was yummy (especially the steak--the front end had earned that for the entire club with a competition home office made up--get 30 plus in a specific weekend, and we did it), and I think I managed to stay somewhat within my calories and may have even ended up with a slight deficit.

It was great! And we should be expecting another cook out soon for our upcoming 30 days accident free!

Saturday night after 8 hours at the ballfield - a beef chalupa, baja style....yum!!!

i had some roast chicken salad for lunch today but there was only a tiny tiny bit left so i wanted something else. the first thing i saw was the tub of belgian chocolate ice cream :)  

 

i don't like depriving myself of foods because then it makes me crave them more, and eat everything else that's in the fridge to make up for it...and then eating what i initially wanted anyway!

that same thing happened to me a few days ago. I didn't want to eat the spaghetti in the fridge, so I eat a salad instead... Then went back and eat some garlic bread... Then I eat the spaghetti I had been avoiding. Gained 3 pounds the next day :(

Hi Everbody!!

I'm new as of 7-31-08.  I am Kristen 5ft 6in. 41 and my starting weight was 145-I am now at 139!! Wow does this calorie counting work or what?!!  One happy girl here-ok though I do let myself have ONE splurge day a week and I had 2 pieces of pizza today-ok 2 1/2 pieces-lol.  I LOVE pizza-it is the only food I profess to "love"-with that said I adore all of you here and read the forums evryday for a great amount of support!  Thanks!

BTW only two years ago I was well underweight at 110 lbs - I slowly got up to the 145 and now I want to go to about 125.  125lbs.  seems and looks perfect to me and the family.

My frequent visits to Taco Bell contributed to a few pounds over the years!  Since losing 45lbs I have not been there once.  I refuse to eat that (delicious) garbage anymore :)

Had some butterfly cookies and half a bar of hershey's all natural extra dark chocolate with cranberries, blueberries and almonds. i'm not a fan of chocolate but fruits and nuts are so gooooD!!!

Saturday was an oops for me 96oz light beer and 2 long island ice teas.  With a grilled chicken sandwich no mayo of course ;)

I had Wendy's today.  I was just really in the mood for a cheap hamburger and fries.  If I didn't have it today, I would have just thought about how much i wanted fast food all day.  I only eat it once in a while, so i don't feel bad about getting it today. 

Ya, I just had a Santa Fe Chicken sandwich and a Coke from Carl's Jr. It was gooood! I haven't had a Coke in a really long time, but was totally craving one just now. Indulging every now and then isn't horrible. Besides, I only had a 100 calorie yogurt for breakfast, so now I'll just watch what I have for dinner tonight.....no biggie!

I just ate a six pack of Grandma's brand soft chocolate chip cookies. So good!

yesterday ..I ate an egg with chorizo[deathly amount of calories x3], 3 tortillas [I'm from mexico so..] . beans, a tbs of peanut butter,a slice of bread, a banana..AND cup of coffee...all that for breakfast,...i wasn't feeling guilty..[yet] ..I was happy because I had veggie soup for lunch and thought that i was going to have a very light dinner...  BUT my dad bought a pizza..and well, i just couldn't resist... I ate two slices.. when I logged everything..it was like almost 2,000 calories ..i usually eat around 1500 calories a day...so ..... I almost...well... you get the idea x_x but at the same time.. i felt kinda good with the pizza because the last time I ate a slice was back in january before i started counting calories.  u_u
of course, i worked my butt off at the gym at night.. @.@

Good to know I'm not the only one who cheats every now and then. I think I need to start upping my calories though, now that I'm working so hard at the gym.

God I can just imagine how many calories that is!? lol but everyone deserves to indulge sometimes or how could we keep going?!

ahaha good post!  I love waaay to much dressing on my salad, good goopey thick dressing.  I had a lot of calories left when I got home so I made a massive salad with salmon and vegies and then poured on my fav vidalia onion dressing.  I ended up 150 cals over budget for the day OOPS!  If I'd just taken a second before I opened up the void that is my mouth I would have had a great day! haha
