Tahini cookies (no flour)
I had my doubts about making these, but I love everthing that goes in them and thought I'd give it a try. Very easy to make.
6 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
1.5 cups quick cooking oats (I actually used old fashioned oats and it worked just fine)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon or more if you like
Mix the tahini, honey and cinnamon together, then stir in the oats. The batter will be very sticky. Once throughly combined, drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes before moving them to a cooling rack or they will crumble and get smushed when you take them off the cookie sheet. Once completely cool they don't crumble so much. The taste reminds me a bit of apple pie crust. Just a little somethin' different.
These cookies sound interesting and I might try them. How many are in a batch?
Dropped by teaspoon, I ended up with 12-16. I don't remember the exact number but it was somewhere around a dozen.
