Ok so i have been counting my calories for about 2 weeks or somewhere around there and although I am not GAINING weight, I have not seen any results. I jog occasionally and I exercise about 3 to 5 times a week, just mainly moderate exercise. I am starting to get very frustrated because I have been cutting back from high calorie foods and keeping my calories strictly under 2000. It's like I am doing this all for nothing because I am not seeing any results! Any suggestions????

Since it has been only around 2 weeks you've started counting calories, you're body is mainly getting used to it now, so the working out is ALL worth it! Keep doing what you are doing and don't lose hope, it started for me that way also.
If you keep in shape and eat healthy you will probably see results in 4-5 weeks. And also maybe you should change your work out plan, maybe add something that will work your body more. Try it and maybe you'll see some results sooner.
Don't give up, stay motivated! If everyone can, you can ;)

So it takes 4-5 weeks? I've been depressed because its been 2 weeks for me and I feel like I am gaining weight while eating between 1200 and 1500 per day (except yesterday - I went to a fair and ate about 1800 calories and since my metabolism is basically non-existant thats a lot)
I'm motivated, but am getting more depressed about lack of results.

I felt just like each and every one of you.. So far i have not gotten on the scale at al lately.. Reason why is because. I have been watching the scale a little too much, and was getting upset because it was not moving for me. I have to just keep my mind on what is important to me, and that is my health and learning how to do things right.
SO! What i have been doing is...............Keeping my eyes off the scale, and looking at the way my clothes hang and fit on me now.. They really fit loose, and not only that.. They don't hang like they would before i started my diet..
When you start to watch the scale you worry about every freaking thing you put into your mouth. I watch every thing for 2 weeks when i first started my diet, and i was on the scale not once a day but 2 times a day. I was thinking.. If i get on the scale in the morning.. That is my normal weight, and then when i get on the scale at 8 at night.. I will see where i had put on 3 to 4 pounds sometimes, and when i weigh the next morning. I was either the same as the last or the same or a pound liter than i was the other day.
Trust me.. Keep up with your workout plan, and relax.. The more you stress the more stress weight you will carry..That is what i feel. I wish you the best of luck.. Lynn

Maybe you should start any kind of activity to make yourself stop thinking about your weight or food like painting, reading, or badminton etc. and see what works for you. I dance and it does the work! When I first started I felt like nothing was happening but my body was just getting used to it.
Hope everything is well.
take care

Dieting does seem like forever. Who wouln't love to lose 10 lbs. a week. Healthly dieting is a long laborious task. Just keep at it and don't get upset. I once heard the analogy "that it's like putting pennies in a piggy bank." Results take many months and then after there's maintenance, or you''ll just regain it.
I've been here since January, 2006. I've lost about 25 pounds. Yes, it's slow, but you don't see me whining about it. I just get on with it.
