will taking a week off hinder my results...?
I have been very good about lifting three days a week for the past couple months. However, I just arrived home (I'm a student), and I don't have access to a gym. I will be going about a week without lifting (or much exercising). How much will this set me back?
I think your metabolism will slow down slightly but that is about it.
It's actually good to stop training for a week every 2-3 months. You body needs the rest.
Since muscles are built during rest and recovery you maybe be surprised and seeinches lost even though you're not lifting. ![]()
Try to do some push ups, sit ups, dips and pull ups during your month off. You don't have to go all out, but just using your muscles will help prevent losses. And you might even see some gains like girlfighting27 said.
Thanks so much for the replies! I really appreciate your feedback :)
