Is anyone else biting the bullet and shelling out the $100 for the special pre-order of Tales of Beadle The Bard?

I preordered the paperback version for my son.. ha   I can't afford the fancy one but it's sure beautiful!

akkkk! i wish i didn't know about this! i have to have it! i want to get it for my brother too!  i cant afford it for either of us! akkk drowning in impulsive have to have frenzy..!..!..!

(plotting...email husband.  would make a great xmas gift...and joe probably already shelled out for his own copy anyway...)

So has anyone read Beadle the Bard?  Did you like it?  I have some gift cards to the book store that are burning a hole in my pocket!

I have had the book since Christmas (thanks Kristi!) BUT I just haven't gotten into reading it yet. I don't know what's wrong with me:(

we just got a copy (hard bound, but not the fancy one) in the mail from Nana last night.  my daughter was super excited, but we will probably wait to read it till we have finished the others... we are about 100 pages from done with the Half Blood Prince.  or maybe we will read it inbetween HBP and Deathly Hallows.... she is now plotting her HP birthday... and it is occuring to me that most of her 8 year old friends won't have read the books and so won't have a basis to relate the party activities to...

I got it for Christmas too! I just finished reading it earlier this week, it took me a while to get into it. I don't know what I was really expecting, but that wasn't it. Not in a bad way...I guess I just didn't think about the fact that it would be a bunch of short stories vs one long one...I was disappointed in the length though I'll be honest. I did think it was clever to have Dumbledore's thoughts on each story though. That was kinda fun! :)

Argh!  I can't believe I still haven't got a copy.

I read it last month.  It was really good.  I didnt have money to pre-order it due to X-Mas though.  After I read it I decided to re-read all of the books from the series.  I miss new hp books.
