Lauren in San Diego here (5'11'').  I was up to almost 180 lbs at the end of last year and I lost about 10 pounds during Jan-Feb and then got lazy.  I need to get back on the wagon.  I think I weigh around 170 and I would like to be 150.  Weigh in on Fridays for me starting tomorrow.  I would love to chat with others who have similar stats and goals to stay motivated.  All my girlfriends are little petites, I need some amazon love!!

Let's look hot and healthy this summer!!!

Hi! I recently had a baby (3 months ago) and I am wanting to lose a lot of weight! ~30-40lbs. I gained 50 lbs during pregnancy and lost 20 within a week after birth. Now, I am stuck and am not losing any weight. I have done calorie counting before...I went from 178 down to 145lbs in a little over 4 months. I am just looking for support to do well this time!!

SW: 186

CW: 184

GW: 150 by end of Feb.

 Congratulation on your baby!

I went trough exactly the same things you did... gained 50 lbs and got stuck at 187-193 for a couple of months ...then i started ww and i starte losing an avarage of 2 lbs a week... now after 4 1/2 im at 149.

It's possible and not too hard, now that you are a mother you probably don't do as many things for yourself as you used to... so consider this your one thing that you do for yourself, and all of your successes will make you a better person and a better mother

Hey everyone!

I'm 5'10" and currently 215lbs. I joined CC MONTHS ago but haven't been on in... well, months I guess! Haha! I've been keeping a food journal, and weigh myself weekly, but I'm thinking that being part of a group and actually sharing my weight loss would be helpful. Right now I'm kind of forcing my bf to get excited when I lose lbs. He's a great support system, but the enthusiasm just isn't there.

I'm kind of stumped as to what I want my goal weight. I think losing 30-40 is a good place to start. That would put me at 175. I think at my most active (high school) I was about 150. But I guess I'll just see how I feel. 175 for now, and when I see how smokin' hot I'm getting I might have to set my goals a bit higher - well, lower technically :-)

Welcome Basschick7!  You will find the people here to celebrate and commiserate with!  We are even here when you just need to vent.

No weigh in for me today, I am headed out for a few days so will be out of touch.  You guys have a great Thanksgiving.

Welcome Basschick7!  We are happy to have you!

I weighed in this morning at 137!  I am quite pleased!  I think maintaining for a while really helped.  I  just started counting again on Monday and my body just jerked right into weight loss mode.  I shed 2 pounds in a couple of days.  That's what happened when I broke a plateau once.

Have a great weekend and a great Thanksgiving next week (to all the Americans)!  Naturally, Italy doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I think I am going to at least have something with turkey in it...and some pumpkin!

Indeed I do!  I live in Rome.  I married a wonderful Italian man this past March!  I've been here since June 2008, and I studied in Rome for the 2006-2007 school year (which is when I met my husband).

OMG That is great! I did the opposite..lol I am italian and I moved in the states and end up marrying an American man... I really miss home though!!! We are coming to Italy in 2 weeks I can't wait!!!

That's awesome!  We are going to the US in December, and I can't wait to see my family!

okie- have a blast in mexico, and get some fab fish tacos!

kbella- yay for the loss- see, you will be at 135 by "wedding" no sweat.

Basschick- welcome to the group :)  Hope we can help you along.  What was your SW?

As for me, I am bloated today (ttom...) and generally feeling gross.  Will be weighing in tomorrow though regardless.  Well, maybe not if I still am this bloated.  If not tomorrow, Monday (Sunday is marathon day so that weight won't count!!!)

I'm still on board to be down 5 lb Christmas though.  Have a good weekend everyone.

Ladies, it was a rough weekend. Not horrible, but oh the temptations. My uncles, cousins, brother, and dad all worked on my grandmother's roof. Literally, 12 guys out to strip and reshingle a roof in 2 days. So my dad decided to feed everyone, but of course the WHOLE family was invited. Just burgers and munchies. I always go bunless with a homemade burger and stick to one slice of cheese and mustard. No problem there. It was the munchies!

I've been SUPER good about junk-free grocery shopping. The snackiest thing I get is wheat thins and those Laughing Cow cheese wedges. Good, but not exactly something that tempts me to over-indulge. And my mom's been sharing these 100 calorie snack bags of all natural kettle cooked chips. They're pretty good, but again, I'm never really up for seconds.

Last night... Doritos, Cheetos, wavy Lays, French onion dip. I really think the last time I had any of those was the 4th of July. And they were GOOD! Thank goodness there about 25 people that I had to share with. I could've sat in a corner all night with the potato chips and dip! The Cheetos I had a handful of, and the first few were like, oooooooh Cheetos, I've missed you. Then I realized that 2 or 3 is enough to satisfy that craving because then they're just really messy and sticky on my teeth.

So, not horrible, but like I said, if it had just been a few people with all those munchies... Every bite would've been eaten, and probably the majority eaten by me :-/ Thank goodness for huge families!
