Tall = 5'6 and up!

Since I am pretty darn giraffic myself, and I need to lose at least five pounds, I wanted to start a small group. I want to find people who are really devoted to losing that weight, so no quitters allowed! We'll have to support each other into losing that weight. Here, we can really complain about everything (even non-related topics, but mostly weight/food issues), and really just help each other out.

C'mon, tall girls, let's get together and do it! GO tall girls!

Age: 14 (birthday at end of march)

Ooh i'd love to join!

Age: 14 (and a half :D)

Height: 5'8''ish

Goal: I'd be happy around 130, but lower would be great :)

I'm probably around 140ish at the moment- but i have no true idea because I LOST MY SCALE! hehe :)

Wow, we're practically the same, lighterrose! It's like your my...TWIN! Thanks for joining me in the fight to fight fat!

nooo problem! :) what are you problem areas? mines probably my lovehandles >< grawr they just wont go away!

My stomach is okay, and I'm fine with it. My biggest problems are my inner thighs and hips (I guess I have love handles too!). I hate 'em.

Hey!!

I just started this thing today, so I'd love to join and get some tips on how to work this thing, it seems so complicated!

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 137

Goal Weight: 127

My love handles and inner thighs are my main issues : P

Great! Welcome to the Sisterhood!

How old are you?

15

Great! i'm just curious- what size are you guys?

I'm anywhere from a 3 to an 8- stupid sizing differences!

I have no idea what size I am! Everything is sized differently around here. Like some things say Small or Medium, while others are like 5, 6. I guess I'm around the same thing as you.

mainly a size 6 or 4, but the 4s are definately tight right now.

I just recently had to buy a pair of shorts however that were a size 8! That definately was not a good feeling.

It so frustrating feeling like you're on the larger side of the spectrum, that's why I'm hoping to get down around 125, and finally be able to fit into my size 2 jeans again!

I hate realizing that jeans I wore only last year wont even get past my hips. Hopefully, they will fit again one day (although they'll be pretty darn short).

There is a whole pot of Kit Kat ice cream in the fridge, and what I really feel like doing is eating the whole thing, but I can't. Ice cream is chock full of calories. So instead, I just sit here and type and think about how I'm going to look if I don't eat it. It's so hard to control myself sometimes.

i totally understand- I'd love to be 125 again! i was a size 2 too! i miss those days :(

I'm vegetarian, and a fairly healthy eater- my problem is just exercising, i guess. i pretty much hate it!! Unless i'm playing basketball or ice skating- but those arent exactly "normal" things I can do all the time. I cant stick with plans!!

I'd love to be a runner- but I get so cranky and tired and I have leg issues so its not a great option ><

I don't like getting side cramps at all, so I hate running. The continuous pounding of my feet on the ground gives me a backache.

I really wish I had a treadmill (for speedwalking). Then I'd never even have to get dressed to exercise.

I'm all in!

Age: 13

Height: 5'7" 1/2 (but still growing like crazy)

Weight: 114

MiaRose --- tall girls rock!!!!

miarrose11:

What do you eat to stay so slim? I'm so jealous, around what size do you wear?

Miarose, you don't need to lose any weight! You're BMI is around 17.4, which is literally great. You shouldn't diet at all.

Hey girls! I just started reading some entries in this thread and they are kind of making me nervous :(

I think it's wonderful you ladies are getting involved and motivated to be healthy, but remember that it is healthy (and necessary) to gain weight throughout your adolescence.

I am 19 years old, so please don't think I'm some old lady harping you about weight issues. When I was 14, I barely hit the 100pound mark. Now--only 5 years later--I weigh 125.

I just don't want you girls to think that not being able to fit into the same jeans you did last year--as a prepubescent child--is a bad thing.

Embrace the womanly curves you are developing and don't try to reverse it!

Trying to halt your natural growth pattern can and will cause all sorts of problems for you, I promise. Let your body do it's thing!!

I'm not suggesting you sit on the couch and eat potato chips all day; it's still suggested that teenagers eat healthy and exercise. Just don't focus on losing weight. Focus on being healthy!!

I'm only 5'4 but i'm the tallest in my school so plz let me join

i'm 13 and weigh 112 and would like to weigh 98

omfg! you guys are like all under weight already(or at a good weight) and all of your goals WILL be way under! when your tall you just simply have to weigh more, cuz you are taller,

I have a naturally small frame so being 134.8 (now! less than ten pounds to go!) is about the right weight for someone like me, I don't eat well, or exercise as much as I want to ,  losing this weight through exercising and proper foods and portions makes me feel healthier. Also, based on how my BMI will be at 125 at my height (5'9" and 15 years of age) will put me at 18.5, which is at the lower end of the NORMAL WEIGHT DIVISION. I appreciate everyone saying how everyone is already at a decent wieght, but some of us just want to drop a few pounds to feel healthier and more confident with our bodies than where we are at this point in time
