Target Date for Weight Loss Fluctuation
It seems like like the last few weeks (since the change with the burn meters) that my target date seems to radically change but it does not seem like it corresponds with my weight loss.
i.e. Yesterday I weighed in at 134 (I think water weight) and it said my target date was August 14, but then when I entered my weight in today 132 it said my target date is September 10. I swear every day when I enter my weight it changes the dates by 2-3 weeks - is anyone else having this problem?
I'm having the same problem. Yesterday at 133 my target date was September 24, but this morning at 131 it was October 17. My goal is to be 115 by August 27, and by my calculations that's less than 1.5 lbs a week so it's not really an unhealthy goal.
I think it's based on your calorie intake for the previous day, not the weight you've entered, i.e. "if you continue to consume this number of calories per day and burn this number of calories per day, this is how long it'll take you to reach your goal."
On Tuesday, at 160 pounds and having consumed 1260 calories, it said I'd reach my intermin goal (10 pounds) on July 17. Today, even though my weight is down 1.4 pounds, it says that I won't reach my goal until August 28, but my caloric intake yesterday was a little over 1500.
I have 8.6 pounds to go to my goal, and "technically" at a pound a week the August date is correct. However, if I continue to try to keep my consumption around 1200-1300, it shouldn't take that long, since my "estimated burn" without extra activity is almost 1900 per day.

Although this weight loss thing seems "intermin"-able!
i dont think thats it, the more weight i lose in a day the further they put my target date.
I've noticed that if I lose more than 1/2 a lb, it will move my target date back. I don't know why though. Like the other day, I dropped 1.5 lbs in a day (water weight from TOM), and it moved my date farther. I then went back, just to see what it would do, and put that I only lost .5 lbs, and it moved my date like 10 days closer.
so is the target weight date reliable since it changes so often? seeing it get pushed back so often discourages me.... i would like to think i'm getting closer to my goals
