Are tattoos sexy on women?

I currently have 2 tattoos, and i'm think about another. I just wondered what people thought about Tats, if you have any, whats sexy and whats not ;o)

I personally think that tattoos on women's arms is masculine, but that's just me as it seems to be the going 'trend' at the mo.    as long as you get something you really want that's significant to you go fo it
I love Tat's I have one on my lower leg, and I agree with tankgirl..ladies should keep tat's on the small of the back, the breast, the legs..but not the arms or neck or head area.. just my oppinion tho..

to each his own!!
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.  Or at least, it shouldn't.  If you get a tattoo based off someone else's ideas of what is "cool" or "sexy", then you'll probably regret it before you know it.

If it's you, something you feel, get into, love, or are passionate about and it represents something special about you or someone you love, then go for it.  And put it wherever on your body you want.

I want a tattoo but I am waiting because I don't know where to get it (though I have several ideas!) and I'd like it to be very personal to me.  I don't want to just pick something out of a book at the tattoo parlor.  My friends have done that before and regret not putting more thought into it.

So my suggestion is to ponder what would be meaningful to you, and then put it where you beleive YOU will like it the most.  After all, it's your body and it'll be there with you forever!

Good luck, whatever you choose!
I have 3, but I've never thought of tats sexy really.

Mine are on my lower back and one between my shoulder blades. I've heard the latest thing they have been calling tats on a woman's lower back: tramp stamp. I thought that was pretty funny :)
I am a woman and I have four tattoos. I think that the location of the tattoo play a big part on how feminine/sexy it is. For example, imho, I think tattoos on the arm on females look masculine but I have a tattoo on my foot that I think (and others have told me) is feminine/sexy.
Avoid areas that will grow (say anywhere around the stomach if you ever plan to have a baby) -- sound like experience speaking???

My daughter had the cutest tattoo down and to the left of the belly button -- kind of where your panty line might hit.  It's hideous now.  :o)

I love tattoos on shoulders, or arms depending on the style. A friend of mine got a vine tattoo that spirals down her upper arm, and I adore it.

lilfaerywingz - haha, I call them tramp stamps... hahaha. Some LBT are nice, but others are just plain skanky.
If you are getting something that means a lot to you and you feel comfortable with where you want to put it, then that is sexy. Confidence is sexy!!! I have 2 tatoos. The first I got when I was 18. I didn't put a lot of thought into it, but fortunately i still love it. My 2nd I got when my youngest child was 6 months old. It is a murmaid holding here baby and it means the world to me because i got it at such a special time in my life. I get compliments on it constantly. Make sure you get recomendations from others on a good artist. There's nothing worse thatn a poorly done taottoo...

I have four tattoos, I don't think of them as "sexy" so much as expressions of me!  My rule for tattoos has always been "as long as I can cover them with a wedding dress" they are A-OK.  I don't want a big ass tattoo glaring over my strapless gown on my wedding!
I've got 3 and if I could I'd magically remove all of them now.  I was a bit of a tomboy all my life and so trying to find tats or places that were sexy and feminine wasn't the concern for me.  Anyway, none of them are sexy or feminine.  Now that I'm not so much a tomboy and actually appreciate feminine things I wish I'd not been tattooed at all or at least got something more feminine.  In 12 years alot about me has changed..except those.  I don't hate them really but I just wouldn't have gotten them if I knew then what I know now.
I've got 3 tatts (one on each arm, one on back) and my hubby thinks i'm sexy ;) I have plans for more, namely one on my neck, inner forearm and calf. And i hope to make my left arm tatt into a half sleeve of stars

2 of my tatts mean something and one was just because i was bored one day (but i love it, it's a hawaiian flower) maybe its a symbol of my free spirit.
I think tattoos can be very attractive, as long as they are tastefully done.

I would have had some done, however, one thing I considered is that tattoos only look good on younger women. Having worked in the health/medical field for a little while, I've seen what tattoos look like on older people's bodies.

We, as human beings, spend most of our lives being older. Therefore, I did not want to have them put on, only to have them removed in my forties or fifties.

Plus, I've changed so much... in my thirties I was so different than my twenties, and in my forties I am so different from my thirties... so what would have appealed to me then would not appeal to me now.

I do still have my belly piercing, but that's easy to deal with. Take out the ring and let it heal.

What I wish they could come up with are tattoos that last perhaps only 5 or 10 years and then just fade out; something made of a natural dye that the body could absorb with no ill effects!
I have 2 (at the moment)..... I am having one covered up with a larger one, not because I don't like it but because my original one is too small and starting to fade a lot.

I think they are great, and sexy depending where/what they are.
It really does depend on what they are, i agree. Some tatts look awful because they are so tacky. I hate it when men get like naked women tatted, can you imagine staring at that while you're being intimate with your man?!
I have 8.. yes 8.. they are addictive. Each and everyone I have represents something in my life.. I also make it a point to place tattoos where they can be covered (if ever need be). As I said.. I have 8 and you cant see any of them unless I want you to (and they ARE NOT small). I think that way if you ever decide one was a mistake.. well... noone will have to see it. I also dont think people should get tattoos that ... well.. lets say ... a child shouldnt see... errmmmm...
you can get tatts that children shouldnt see in places children shouldn't see!

I have been wanting to get a tattoo a while now.  My problem is I just don't know what to get.  I want it to mean something, and not just the latest fad.  That way when my kids ask me why I got it...I will have a good reason. :)  Lately I have been into pyramids or something that has to do with the number three.  Past, present, and future, and could be used for the number of children I have.  Any suggestions?  Love to hear any.
Personally tatoos in general I think look tacky on Women. A small one on the ankle area is OK. Or a tatto ring is kinda cool. But large tats. No way. I think some just take away from a woman's natural beauty.  Looks like a big blotch that is just a distraction. It cheapens their natural beauty.
I guess old age is getting to me.  I keep picturing the nursing home of the future - filled with tatooed old ladies with names like Heather and Brittney.  Very unattractive!
