argh i can't wait for my new car. did you put money down for yours meagan or just the trade in?

Hahha I'm glad Meagan.  Those Testa Rossas sell for $8 million + at auctions now.

there is nothing badass about hummers. driving a hummer is like getting "i'm a d-bag" tatooed on your forehead.

What are you getting (please don't say Ford!)

a ford!

i'm not sure yet. i'm currently leaning towards a mazda 3

Depends on what you bought it for... buying groceries and jumping curbs or using it for what it was designed to do.

I hate the H2 and H3 though...  Yukons with pimp clothes.

well, isn't it designed as a military vehicle? so what civilian could possibly use it for what it is designed for?

Heh.  This Hummer discussion makes me laugh almost as much as seeing the word "Hummer" all over those vehicles.

I put money down, Jules, plus my trade, which I knew to be worth nothing.  I probably would have gotten more satisfaction from pushing the Cavalier off a cliff, but I figured that is probably a chargeable offense around here, given all of the wildfires lately

I'm sticking with my Ferrari.......I'm loyal that way Smile

You don't like the Ferrari 250 I added to my list?  I decided the Lambo isn't really that pretty... it's actually kinda ugly, but badass at the same time (like the old Hummers).

nah not at all!! we have different ideas of what looks good me thinks Smile

Super Cool Dude in H1

Epic Fail in H2

but why does anyone need something so massive to go drive in the mud. isn't that what jeeps are for?

Oh goodness, the Jeep debate.  For one, Hummers are better off-road than Jeeps.  Secondly, not everyone likes Jeeps (I bought a 73 Landcruiser FJ-40 specifically because I didn't want a Heep).  Finally, Jeeps are well known for having poorly made axles and often break when rock-crawling.

I laughed out loud at your Epic Fail.  Does that mean there is something wrong with me?  Do I lack compassion and empathy for my fellow man?

I mean, that's just funny.  H2 killed by a school bus.

Their transfer cases and u-joints break all the time.  But Jeeps can be pretty sexy, done up just right.

ok then, fair enough. i still hate hummers because i'd guess the percentage of people who drive them and actually go rock-crawling is pretty small.

It would have been funnier if there were a bunch of wiggers in the picture standing next to their busted up H2 pretending to be Gs.  Of course, hopefully the soccer mom driving the car was ok.

It doesn't look like she would possibly have been okay if she was in the vehicle when that occurred.  I prefer to think that the H2 was parked, unattended, in a school bus zone and the bus backed into [EDIT] it.

Although... that would have been a pretty high rate of reversing speed for a school bus to achieve... so I think I am pretty much messed up in the head.  ;)

I want to hire a jeep to drive up/down the Lions back Smile

i'm a little more concerned for the kids on the bus than the d-bag in the hummer, but that's just me.

The H2 is a piece of junk. They took the Yukon and put a different body on it.

Now the H1, that is a different story.  It comes with 35s, a Warn winch, tons and tons of low RPM torque, an air compressor that will reinflate your tires if they go flat (also to reinflate after offroading because most people drop their air pressure down around 15psi to get better traction off-roading), etc.  The Hummer H1 was built for off-roading and it just so happened people liked it enough to buy some.
