Well that's how I drive in rain - I mean, not slow like a grandma, because that's dangerous to other drivers too, but the three main things I try to keep in mind for inclement-weather driving are

increase following distance
no sudden stops, starts, or turns (allow plenty of time)
for loss of traction, ease up on the gas and let the car slow down on its own

How'm I doin' so far?  :D

 I know!!!  I've been madly brainstorming stuff we need.

I realized on the drive in this morning that I don't have a mini-grill for tailgating!  That would be such a tailgating fail!  I have a cooler and stuff, but we need hotdogs, and buns, and a mini grill!!

i can't book time off until january...i don't see time off in april being an issue at all though.  and i'm ridiculously stoked about the girls night in whistler!

Right on.  Hopefully by then I'll have a better idea of my available vacation days (and hopefully some Christmas money)  :)

speaking of planning stupid far in advance...jules, i really like our tentative weekend for my east coast trip.  :P

 me too! at this point the only think i can think of that would cause us to have to change it is a wedding or something.

speaking of, my crazy friend? he asked her over the weekend, but did not give her a ring. they decided to go shopping together. got a message today that she "hates ring shopping" because she has "very expensive taste". *eyeroll*

i will be booking my flights as early as humanly possible just because it should be cheaper (and an incentive to save money).

 i've been doing not so great lately but the scale has been kind. not sure why...but am not complaining!

jules - i was down to 155 on sunday.  i'm at 158 at present...and i've eaten SO MUCH lately that there's a good chance most of it is not water weight. 

once my body gets used to lots of food, i find i'm hungry constantly...
