omg so ugh, something totally sucky happened....

not sure if i ever told you guys about my cousin C, the one who used to spend summers with us, but then got into some trouble and pretty much disappeared from the family for like 5 years? well lately, she'd finally come around. her and my sister spent a ton of time together while my sis was up here for school, she'd been coming to family stuff, etc.

well my sister used to have this friend K, who was a little nuts. her and K would get in these HUGE blow out fights all the time, my sister would claim she hated K, K was crazy, and so on. she would usually vent to me, and apparently our cousin C about it. so it ended up that C just really didn't like K.

well one day, about a year ago, K left her jacket at my parents house. a nice, $200 jacket that was a gift from her grandma. she called to ask my sister for it once she realized she'd forgotten it. my Mom swore she'd left it in the closet, but it was gone. they looked EVERYWHERE. well, the only people in the house other than my family when it went missing were C and another friend of theirs (a guy). my sister asker her if she'd seen it, maybe taken it by mistake. and she said she hadn't seen it anywhere. it turned into this BIG issue, K freaked because she wanted her jacket, called my mom, etc.

my sister ended up giving her like $90, when she was broke and jobless, towards replacing the coat. my cousin C knew about all of what was going on, including my sister paying for it.

well, yesterday C's boyfriend posted pictures on FB of him and her on a naturehike. guess what C was wearing in two of the pictures....

UGH!  Sucky situation Jules!  Toxic friends suck... toxic family is worse.  Are you or your sis going to call her on it?

 my sister is doing it right now. apparently she is denying that she has the coat. but after my sister said something, she immediately deleted her facebook. but the pics are still up because they are on her bfs.

No offense, but what is wrong with people?  You don't steal somebody's expensive coat (which was a gift from their grandmother) just because you don't like them.  And if you do, you certainly don't let your broke family members pay for your crap.

 exactly!! i think stealing someones personal belongings is one of the lowest scummiest things you can do. and then to let your family memeber who is supposed to also be one of your best friends take the **** for it?? what IS wrong with her?!

I assume you're absolutely positive it's the same coat?  I mean, it's unusual enough that you can tell?  I don't know why she would have deleted her fb immediately if she wasn't trying to hide something, but then again, I can understand why she'd get defensive if she hadn't done anything wrong.  Especially after being something of a black sheep for so long.

Ok, just a little aside, because THIS is hilarious.  Meagan, that is especially for you as I know you share my feelings on whiskey ;)

it's definitely 100% the same coat. the grandma got it in seattle and stuff.

I am infrequently afforded a setting in which to clumsily pretend I am performing before an audience I imagine to be appreciative, and I must say I do enjoy it so.

haha, yep.  it was awesome.  i need to run over to the grocery store to pick up some stuff i want to take home.  who flies home with english muffins?  this girl.
