meagan...dumb question...how do i make the tv work for cable?  it keeps saying no signal (and yes, the cable box is on)

 Crap, you asked the wrong person.  :)  I think you need to use the remote marked "insignia" and change the "input."... maybe?

 hehe so then not a dumb question at all :p

I never do anything with the TV so I'm pretty useless with it!

my tv is very simple. 1 remote, and it's a tivo remote, which are like remotes for kids almost.

oh and then the little dvd player remote...so 2!

I have three remotes, but you only need to use one of them to watch tv.  The other two only get used when I pop in a DvD or VHS (yes, my player does both) ;)

I wish we still had VHS!  The only movies I own are VHS.  Granted, I only ever had like, four videos, and I'm not sure where they are.  :P

Ha, at last count I had somewhere around 175 DvDs...  I'm a collector of books and movies... among other things.

I definitely collect books.  Britt can vouch for that.  I think she's perusing my collection for stuff to borrow before she has to go home. 

Sucks she has to go home! :(

i have a TON of books. very few movies. i think i own like 10 dvds, several are replacements for the VHS movies i used to have, like the little mermaid, cinderella, labyrinth, everafter.

then of course the other classics like half baked, office space, dazed and confused, :P

I don't know what it is with me... I don't like libraries and I don't like renting movies.  I like owning them.  Granted, I also re-read books from time to time, and I like to re-watch movies I know are good when nothing good is coming out...

I do like libraries, but I LOVE owning books, because I like to re-read books, too.  I feel a bit like Scrooge McDuck swimming in his piles of money - seeing all the books and knowing they are mine gives me great satisfaction.  :D

I own several DVDs, but all but one are metal concert videos.  The one movie I own is Pineapple Express  :)

 omg me too!! i LOVE seeing my overflowing bookshelf. makes me happy!

plus i like buying books because P has promised to build me a library someday and i'm gonna need to fill it :p

Oh, I already know that if I ever live somewhere that I can buy/build a house I am definitely having a library. :)

And I should clarify, I like the IDEA of libraries, I just hate giving the books back so much that they don't really work for me...

I have been known to return a book to the library and immediately run out and buy it

I figure just buying it in the first place kinda saves time.

 he loves to read. the other day he suggested we have reading time before bed more often. love him :P

That's so awesome.  Nick reads, but he doesn't love to the way I do.
