Jimmy reads as much, if not more than I do. Which is awesome! I've seriously never dated a guy who can talk about and recommend books before!

speaking of....how are things going?? :)
Yeah, spill!! :D
Fine, but a bit odd... I've ceased to worry about it though. If nothing else, he's a cool guy so I don't mind hanging out. Till he makes more of a commitment I'm not going to stress myself out about stuff (or consider myself really "dating" him)
B thinks that he's got more baggage than we realize (which is probably true), and that's why he's pulling the stand-offish thing a bit. Cuz he does keep asking me if I want to do stuff (without me bringing it up first) so he clearly likes being around me, and we're still at a point where we're seeing each other once a week or so... but he is a busy guy, and he's not at a point yet where he feels like inviting me to his friends' birthday things and stuff like that...
In fact, he texted me earlier about doing something tomorrow and we were gonna go grab dinner and a couple drinks, but he texted me back a bit after saying sorry but he'd just realized he had a major financial issue and wouldn't be able to do anything after all... (I'm guessing he was checking bank balances or something to make sure he had the money to take me out and came across something upsetting)
And the only reason I can say that "clearly he likes being around me" because he keeps asking me to do things is that there's no rain yet, so it's not like he's looking at me as a booty call.

well kinda sucks that things are weird, but i think you are doing the right thing just taking it as it comes. sounds like he really does like hanging with you. he could very well just be stressed about his money situation, especially being the type of guy who likes to pay.
i know when P was laid off he was so down on himself, even made a comment that i "deserve better."

well that's a good sign then!
You guys are probably right about the baggage. After that convo J started really early on about you guys taking things really slow, and considering that he definitely likes you, but seems reluctant to commit, there's something going on. It doesn't preclude a future, but it's good you are able to see it as enjoyable hangout time without getting too frustrated with him, because he's not in a hurry!
Right. Only thing that sucks is that I really do like him, but the way I currently feel, if I were to find somebody I like as much (or close to as much) who was ready to commit, I'd probably go with it instead... I'm not gonna wait around with all of my eggs in a basket that the Easter Bunny may not deliver!
Granted, if it's supposed to work, he'll figure it out before it comes to that :)
Good news is that I do like him enough that I could be just friends with him if that were to happen.
This is actually the reason that there's been no rain (well, my reason, I don't pretend to know if it's his reason for not pushing the issue) At this point I like him too much to be his booty call or friend with benefits, so if it's gonna end up being platonic, I'd rather just not have gone there to begin with. Well... not gone too far there anyway...

i think this is exactly what you should do. i like to think things work out when they are meant to. just keep your options open for sure!
and such smart thinking about the rain thing.
I agree, that's smart thinking! I wish I'd been that logical in forming a couple of friendships. :P
Okay, gotta go home so I can bring Britt to the airport. Poop!
G'night all!

Ha, well, as much as I am attracted to him, the only reason this has a shot of working is that he is a really respectful and sweet guy who doesn't push. I don't think I'd withstand it well if he was constantly trying.
aaackk! page two at 11am?! what is going on here!
That's a travesty!
and good morning :D

good morning!
i'm getting fired up for today's work "trivia lunch" :P
did trivia with my friends and P last night. learned that my friend, the one i've described in the past as "the topper" is a nightmare to do trivia with. AWFUL.

no, worse! she argues EVERY SINGLE ANSWER anyone gives, like doubts anything anybody comes up with, even when she has NO alternative answer.
she argued one answer i knew was right, made me totally doubt myself, but luckily we went with it anyway, because she had nothing else. guess what, i was RIGHT!
my other friend and i went to the bathroom and both just looked at each other like..."DUDE."
never again! never ever!
How come I’m not losing weight?
