Oh no, Jules... I didn't really think they should have sent C home either, what with the memory issues.  What's going on now?  :( 

her blood pressure shot back up. apparently yesterday all her friends and "friends" started coming out of the woodwork calling her and asking her tons of questions and she's getting all stressed out.

i think the problem is, her friends aren't realizing how affected her memory is. she sounds ok, and looks ok, but she's not all there.

oh, and someone who should have kept their mouth shut told her she wasn't going to be able to see the baby.   

pardon my bluntness, but she lost the baby, correct?  but she doesn't know that?  so confused...

or did that go from her memory too?

Oh no, Jules.  I feel so bad for her.

oh no, she knows she lost the baby, she has pictures of him even. but she wants to actually see him in real life when they have the funeral. 

and he's been...in the morgue for over a week now. so her seeing him now is not going to be a good thing.

god, sorry to be such a downer. this whole thing is pretty much f-ing horrific.

poor girl.  she must be going through SO much. 

I'm sure someone has explained to her that it is better to remember him as he was in the pictures, as a beautiful baby... rather than the way he is now... but if she wants to see him, I'm sure that is a very very strong compulsion.  Poor C.

I'm afraid for her health as well as her mental state, too.  It's so scary that her BP keeps skyrocketing like that.

i know! i tried googling what she had, but i can't really find anything about long term effects of eclampsia.

The Mayo Clinic says this:

"With proper treatment, blood pressure usually returns to normal within a few days or weeks with no long-term adverse effects."

But it's about postpartum preeclampsia.  Hopefully this applies to eclampsia too.

well that's good, at least what's going on is semi normal!
