Last chance to make the first week a good one. Down 1.5 pounds so far but sodium has been high the past three days. Looking for 3 tomorrow as I've been retaining water. Pizza parties two nights in a row! Today will be good!
I see allot of people working hard to lose that weight and would love to comment to all. But I need to spend less time here and more time making it happen. I hope that you all understand as I'm not trying to ignore anyone. I have yet to start any type of exercise what I do instead is try to make sure that I limit how much time I sit around at the computer or watching TV.
Good luck to all. Go Green Team!!!

My goal is to lose 20 lbs in the 11 weeks.

That's a reasonable goal. You can do it.

Thanks Jeff, I lost 20 lbs before Christmas and gained 3 back over the holidays. Lost 2 since Christmas. Now I'm back on track and exercising again and watching what I eat. I am sure I can do this with the help of everyone.

Anyone have certain workout routines they do... I'v been doing Leslie Sansone walk to fitness at least 6 miles a day.. Not sure if the pounds are coming off yet from it but it makes me feel good.. I don't have the biggest loser DVD but I'm thinking about getting that one...
Ohdee - that goal sounds like it should really boost your determination. I like playing in pools but I don't really know how to swim ^^; (never took classes) At least I can float on my back!! hahaha. I'm rooting for you!
As for me, my goal is 2 lbs/week, exercise regularly, eat healthy - BE HEALTHY. I'm trying to reduce the risk of heart disease since I just doubled it by being overweight. Being around a parent who smokes and best friends who smoke (especially in the car) does not help my goal either. I'm still figuring out a solution to that problem.

I'm getting a bit nervous here - it's been more than 2 weeks since I sent my scale out and a week since I wrote to them and they told me I'd be 'getting it shortly'... mail has not arrived today, however neither has my scale!! If I don't have it tomorrow for weigh in.... I'm doing what I can y'all. I'm sorry.
Willow, One idea is to post the same weight as before, because in the long run it'll all work out. :)
Trip, I don't really have a workout routine, but I do attend water aerobics twice a week. Hubby and I play racquetball a few times a week too. Depending on how much energy we have, we're more or less competitive.
Hey (Jeff, I hope this is ok) I need everyone's help. I have a blog where I started journaling. One of the things I'm doing is asking people to vote on which new recipes I should try. Only two people have voted so far. If you're interested in voting, it would be a really great help. The blog is at http://backtohealthy.blogspot.com/
Thanks bunches! Kelly

(I forgot to post this to Dee the other day) Dee, I think that's a great goal to get into the pool at the end of the 12 week challenge. The water aerobics I'm doing right now, ANYONE can do. You don't have to be able to swim either. A lot of it is strength training, and the water is really helpful if you have a hard time walking. Sometimes my joints are aching so bad, and the water is a lot of relief... Anyway, just wanted to let you know... it's a great goal!

Trip,
I use Leslie Sansone. I often put it in my computer which sits on my bed and watch TV while I walk (best of both worlds). I got a 3 DVD set of hers for Christmas that includes the miracle mile, the two mile walk and a 4 mile walk. I like the 4 mile walk. I also did a Dance Off DVD at my mother's (she bought it for herself recently). Tonight I did a Tae Bo DVD. It felt really good to make it through that.

Dee -
General swimming burns a lot of calories (for someone that was at my size this summer). It is also very easy on the joints. That's a great goal.
I would love to swim laps somewhere but I don't want to pay to go to the YMCA.

Has anyone else's tummy been growling all day? I've eaten well all day, had my water, etc.
I think it's because it's weigh in day tomorrow and some cosmic force is trying to derail me.
*off to adjust my tin foil hat*

That's what I might have to do. I contacted the company again, via email, a few hours ago and they responded back and gave me a UPS tracking number and said I should have it some time tomorrow -- YAY!! I'm hoping it's delivered early so I can weigh before I start eating for the day. I'm gonna be really disappointed though, if in the last month I haven't lost - or gained!!! Last time I weighed was 12/16... ::keeping positive thoughts::

Tamji - YES ME TOO! I thought I fed my stomach enough at lunch when it was growling in the library but I had really bad cravings tonight and I overate! I'm worried i'll gain 2 pounds tomorrow which is not good for tomorrows weigh in....errrr....and I was down 3.8 lbs from last week as of today. If it makes it any better all the food I ate was healthy :S
Yay Willow!! That is good news about the scale, and even better to have a tracking number. I'll be looking forward to your post tomorrow. That's a looooong time to not have a scale. You are a strong woman!
I too have been fighting all day to stay on track. I think this has been the hardest day for me since I started. I wonder why that is. I am watching American Idol auditions, and drinking and peeing at commercials. I'll probably go to bed when its over (and hopefully not forget to put laundry in the dryer) so I can have today over. lol Kelly

Hey team!!
I have been a lot more hungry today too and I wanted my SWEETS!! But I still only ate my allowed calories so I hope for a good result tomorrow!! I did go to the gym like always and worked out for 1 hour, so here goes nothing:-)
Good Luck to all of you at weigh in:-)

Tomorrow is weigh-in... I've been doing well all week until I found some Low Fat Nilla Wafers. Ugh!
The wafers wouldn't be so bad if I ate 1 serving but I can eat an entire box at two sittings.
That's the bad news. But, here's the good news:
It's been 7 days since I've eaten any ice cream. For well over six months, I would eat it EVERY SINGLE day. I could easily eat 2 cartons of it over a day - and, many times, I did.
I have Fitday and plugged in the foods I used to eat - it was about 6,000 calories per day. So, even with the Nilla wafers, I'm way down from 6,000. (Yay!)
Also, this week, I've started eating veggies again. I found out I love green beans. And, for the first time in about 3 months, I actually had fruit today. It was good!
