im down 9.5 pounds....4 pounds since monday, i cannot weight till next weeks weigh in, which happens to be my birthday!!!

I went back and read the entire post.... if we have over 50 members on our team ... maybe we should shoot for a 500 lb loss
If we aim too low .. we might not try as hard ... just my 2 cents worth..

Sure you can, you sound convincing to me! *Step away from the cupboards, Ren, away from the cupboards!* Focus on your paper, and take a short exercise break every 60-90 minutes. It'll really keep your mind working, plus, who doesn't need a break from their paper? *shudder* I hate papers.. thats why I took the science route! you English students are braver than I!
So, anyway, I'll be out in the boonies with no internet for tomorrow and Sunday morning taking care of my parent's dog. so I'll see y'all on Sunday afternoon... hopefully not 10 lbs heavier from all the goodies my mom will probably have lying about!

I like Weight to Go...
Okay Team, I need some help for Sunday morning/afternoon. I'm located here in Seattle, so of course I am cheering on the Seahawks ***Go Hawks***.
Well since the game is at 10am (PST) we are going to head to a bar with friends and have breakfast (Okay I'll admit I never knew you could order breakfast from a bar, other than a bloody mary this IS new to me) while cheering on the Hawks. So I need some help with this because I always pack my breakfast to work so I know what I'm eating. I have yet to eat breakfast out (unless I'm traveling & hotels always have decent caloried cereals/fruits) since I'm been working on my weight.
So with that I'm a little nervous and concerned that I'm going to 'give-in'.... so team here is your challenge if you choose to accept it.... (This may seem odd but just go with it) :) What foods should I look for???

You should look for fruits and vegetables of course. Have a glass of water before you "dig in". If it is a buffet, then sampling a bit of everything you like (once) should keep you in line.
If it is a menu in which you order from, order the healthiest option. If it is an egg sandwich, ask them to hold the cheese. If it is an omelette, again, with the cheese. You could ask them to make the sandwich with eggwhites instead.
Just remember that this won't be your last meal and that Team 1 is rooting for you!!!

What up team? I have just been added. This could be fun. Never been part of a weight loss contest.
My starting weight is 241. I was wanting to suggest a witty team name, all I could come up with is "Waist Away" which kinda resembles the "Bums Away", or "No Butts about it". That is all I am suggesting everything else I am thinking of is getting quite lame.
Well, it will be nice to get to know all of you. We can win this thing...better yet, we WILL win this things.

Well, it's halfway through the day. I haven't gone mad and eaten the entire store of goods in the cupboards, so I just may be able to get through it.
As for the paper. Well, let's say I must now turn off the computer and just focus all energies on the literary analysis of imprisonment and degrees of freedom in the Tempest. Hurrah!
Sarah, not too sure exactly why I'm an English student.:P
Turtlegirl, jag_kan has a really good point. It's not your last meal. No need to go overboard! You can enjoy healthful yummy foods too (even at a bar - as for brekkies at a bar, quite common in the UK!).

Oh another thing I really think that this will help with motivation if you like challenges just strive to be the Biggest loser. It worked for me last year I was in a local Challenge called " Choose your weigh(t) to a healthier lifestyle." My goal for every week was to be the biggest loser I was 291 when I started and ended it at 217 on May 27th. I had gotten down to 199 before the holidays but went back up to 206. So I hope this is what I need to get back on track!!! Good Luck everyone!!!!!
