I want to start by saying one thing!! TEAM 3 IS THE BIGGEST LOSER FOR WEEK ONE!!!!!!! We are doing great!! As cutiepiemommy points out we did have 4 of the 5 biggest losers! Awesome job everyone!

Thought of the day!
***BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER, I CAN DO THIS FOR MY FAMILY!*** P.S. Not just your blood family, but for your CC family too!

Cristin,
Hey Sweetheart, DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED, you know why? You answered it yourself. YOU ARE WORKING OUT! the more you workout (even if it's just walking) your muscles will retain a little water to help repair the muscle. That adds pounds. Also, by adding the working out while the others your doing the SBD with are not, did you know that even if you all do not stay on the SBD forever that you will stand the best chance NOT to gain anything back. The way you are looking at it is as a Lifestyle Change, and not just a diet, and that is why in the long run you will be the most successful one in the bunch! STAY WITH IT AND KEEP YOUR HEAD HIGH!!! I will be cheering you on!!!

Blayne,
I like your idea for a main post, and could help with the upkeep if you wanted. It would let everyone in the FAMILY know that we are doing this for two reasons. 1 first and foremost you are doing this for you! 2. You also have others counting on you, your CC Family!
YOU ARE NOW MY INSPIRATION BLAYNE!!!! I have lost roughly 80 pounds myself and am not going to settle for anything less than "triple digits". You are AWESOME! My plateau lasted almost 8 months, late Feb I finally told myself that nothing I was doing was working so I had to go drastic! I went and told my doctor what I wanted to do, he said he thought I was foolish, but I told him that I was doing it with him or without him. Finally he gave in and is keeping an eye on me (Here is where I add in that I can already hear all the women in this post SCREAMING at me, but I am doing this under a doctors care!) I went drastic and cut my calories back to 1500 or less a day. That gave me the kickstart I needed. I passed the plateau and have lost another 20 in the past month and a half. I am now back up to where I am eating about 1800-2000 calories a day. Still less than I am supposed to eat to maintain, but I am still taking the weight off. If I eat to much more than that I feel stuffed and uncomfortable. The majority of my diet consists of fruits and veggies, I stay away from sweets, salt, and try to limit my fat intake.

Well, I guess I should get back to work. Team 3 let's keep rockin' and rollin', stay strong and committed, and I will see ya'll tomorrow.

Papa

P.S. If anyone has any heartburn with me calling Team 3 our CC Family please let me knoe, I do not wish to offend anyone. Thank you!

We won! WOW! Woohoo!  Great job Team!

I just got back from my 5.01 mile (according to my pedometer) walk, (11,793 steps) to be greeted with this great news - I am so happy for us all!  The sun is shining, the birds are singing, spring is definitely here now.  All the wildflowers were out down by the stream, it was a beautiful day to be out in the countryside.  I feel so much more positive than I did before I started this challenge, and it is due to the support and companionship of all of you.

Pride on three!!!

Thanks for the support Papa!  I really appreciate it.  I feel a lot healthier with the changes to my diet so this will be a livestyle change not just a diet.  I am proud of myself for working out and I feel my body changing.  That should be all that matters not the numbers.

I am so proud of our team!  Eleven more weeks to go!  We can do it!

congrads team 3, on all of our losses!!

i am proud to say this is a happy loss!

good luck to all this week!!

i think i can i think i can i know i can! and you can too!!

pride on three!!

hey guys!!!!

i know its been a couple days, i havent forgotten my family. my diet has been off track and my water intake has decreased to 2 liters a day..three was making me alil sick. but the good news is i have been way more active. worked out almost everyday since our last weigh in..so i have been working my butt off(literally). i feel so much more better since i began exercising and having more sense about what goes into my mouth..but i feel that u guys and other supporters here on the site are the only ppl who understand..evf1 around me looks like i live on another planet if i mention the word"calorie".

but this week has been good over all and im looking forward to a good number this weigh in...and why do we have til the 17th...that alil unfair..ppl could have an advantage if they weigh in later than others...a day or two is sometimes a pounds difference..but anywhoo..im ruinning my mouth now

remember never too soon to begin our last chance workouts!! push it u guys..u are strong!!!lets continue down the road of weigh loss and healthy lives..Wink

Hey Team Three!

Well done midnight_mocha!  Glad to hear you have been so active - it really does lift the spirits doesn't it!  I think 2 liters of water is plenty.  I aim for about that each day.

Hope you and everyone in the team have a good week!

The reason I have weigh-ins open from Tuesday-Thursday each week is because people live hectic lives.  And if I only gave people 1 day to post a weight I think we would see alot less participation then we are.

Thanks Team 3 for your 100% participation thus far, you guys have the longest team thread by a page or two, keep up the good work :).

Good morning everyone!  I hope you all had good weekends.  Mine was pretty quiet since my bf was out of town.  I went to the gym both days and it felt great.  I totally know what you are talking about midnight_mocha.  I feel a lot better overall when I work out.  I am hoping for some good numbers too on Tuesday.

Have a great day all!

What's up team!?!?

Happy Monday everyone!  Tomorrow is weigh in day, so today is LAST CHANCE WORKOUT DAY!!!  Everyone put on some great tunes and get your butts moving!

I was on the elliptical this morning, and I will be again after work.  If you feel like you never have enought time to workout, break it up and do it in short bursts!  3 ten minute sessions can be just as effective as 1 thirty minute sessions as long as you work up a sweat!

Here are some creative ways to cut calories:

If you have oatmeal in the mornings, don't finish it off with a splash of milk, its only extra calories, trust me you wont notice it!

For supper, instead of adding cooking oil or butter to the pan to fry vegetables, pick a juicy vegetable liek red or green pepper and cut it up and use the juices to cook that and other veggies in, do the same with tender cuts of meat!

Chew gum when you are craving a sweet burst!  Chew a sweet gum for 15 muinutes and you just might feel like you've had dessert!

Eat slower and use smaller bowls! In women's health they are  constantly providing evidence from studies reoprting the fact that if you eat slower you will consume less and still feel full, and if you use smaller bowls/plates, it looks like there is more on your plate, so you feel more satisfied and like you ate more then you actually did!

ok jeremy..thanks hun. i guess it makes no difference in the long run, huh?

back to my fams---its a beautiful day here in good ole arkansas..alil windy but if that doesnt stop my two sons..im not letting it stop me either!! i'll be out walking(strolling) w my lil ones breathing in all the fresh air...taking it all in(its only a month and a half away til nothing but humidity..i live right on the texas state line). then tonight im gonna pop in my walk away the pounds express dvd(supposed to be equivilent to 4 miles)..then maybe hit the bike for alil while, i rode 15 miles on it yesterday and im not all that enthuisiastic about it today..lol. well good luck you guys and lets work some booty off!!

lets go team threeLaughing

www.healthyfoodfinder.com

just something i heard on the today show today.

Sorry for being away so long. I was out in the woods for most of the weekend this week. I took/gave some Scouting training. That is one of the reasons why I want to lose all my weight. As a kid I never got to go on a "fifty miler" and I want to do one as an adult. For those non-scouters out there a "fifty miler" is a fifty mile hike in the back country. You have yourself, your pack, and a map and compass. That is what some of the training was on this weekend.

Anyway, I did quite a bit this weekend. Had a good time to. Though I did find out the reason why you get "breathable" clothes when you go out hiking! We are the team that is showing the most unity, way to go my Fam! We stick together there is nothing that WE cannot accomplish. I will be posting on Wed. probably, so be on the lookout for it. I am hoping for another 5 pound week, but I doubt it. I will be happy with 1 though, 1 is one less than last week, and as long as it is going down it's all good.

Later,
Papa

papa-that sounds fun..and what a great workout that will be fifty miles!

we are very family oriented.. even though there are some that hardly post..but thats ok we love you guys as well..hehe.. but it would be nice for everyone to post at least once a week to rant, gloat or just encourage another member..well im about to finfish my workout..i rode my stationary bike 10 miles and now im starving..gna do some in home walking later when the kiddos hit the sack.and at this point i could really care less if i ever ride a bike again..lol..good luck with everyone weigh in tmrw

hello team 3 family,

KEEP WALKING PEOPLE!!!

I did my part to help team three this week!  Cool

I just posted & was down 1.2 pounds.  I was kind of hoping for a little more, but a loss is a loss.  I weigh 1.2 pounds less than I did last week, 2.6 pounds less than I weighed 2 weeks ago and 38.2 pounds less than I did on Jan 4th when I started my journey.

Good luck everyone!!!

PRIDE ON THREE!!!

Hi team 3!  Just weighed in and I am down 5.6 pounds for the week!  I guess I don't hate the stairmaster and eliptical as much as I thought I did!  We are doing so great!

Have a great day everyone!

Hey Team 3, me again!

Congrats everybody on the great weight losses!

I just came across this link on another forum and thought you might like to know about it, if you don't already!

www.mapmywalk.com

I'm sooooo happy I found it!  I've mapped my favorite route already - it's marvellous to have an accurate count of the mileage, and you can calculate calories used, too!

Have a great day, Team:)

KEEP ON WALKING!!!
