Pride on THREE!!!

Original Post by letsgetitstarted:

Hey Team 3, me again!

Congrats everybody on the great weight losses!

I just came across this link on another forum and thought you might like to know about it, if you don't already!

www.mapmywalk.com

I'm sooooo happy I found it!  I've mapped my favorite route already - it's marvellous to have an accurate count of the mileage, and you can calculate calories used, too!

Have a great day, Team:)

KEEP ON WALKING!!!

 this is so awesome...love it..no more guesstimating,,lol

What's up Family!!!!

Letsgetitstarted - Great find, I always try to drive the route, but as everyone knows driving it does not give you the exact milage. Thanks for the link!

EVERYONE IS DOING AWESOME WITH THE LOSSES THIS WEEK!!!! Right now I am just hoping for a measley pound gone. The reason I say this is because I hit the weights pretty hard last week. I am trying to get back to where I was about 6 years ago. I am still taking inches off so I know I am losing body fat, and that's a good thing. I want to get back to my 19" Bicepts, 21" Neck and 55" Chest, and back down into my 36-34 jeans! If I do that I will be exstatic. I did do one thing last night I have not been able to do since 2002, I fit back into my 38 waist jeans!!! It was awesome to be able to get back into them. I was still about an inch and a half away from my 36's though. That is the next goal!

Saying for today! THE BEST WAY TO SEE THE PAST IS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR!!!!!

Later, Papa

Blayne-

way to go blayne!!! how awesome, what are doing as a reward..100lbs gone! you lost an olsen twin!!! lmao..good for you girl. you inspire so many ppl to just wanna get better at this to see those type of results.

papa- we are family and no matter what the loss the inspiration and dedication is a well enuff payment..just keep on going..those 36's are gonna look great.

everyone has had such great numbers...you now know what it takes..so keep at it!!

lets go 3

a reward? hahaha does going on a date tonight for the first time in 9 years count?

and i don't think i am doing anything really all that different than what this site suggests. I eat between 1200-1500 calories a day and 2 or three times a week swim for an hour of laps.

other than that will and determination? hahaha

good luck all! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!

wooo hooo!  good luck with your date tonight!  what do you have planned?

THANKS! I think we are going to dinner (olive garden, pretty casual) and then afterwards who knows. I didnt want to make any DEFINITE after dinner plans in case it doesnt go well.

If it goes well, and we make it through dinner we talked about bowling or mini golf. I am not sure though. I am a novice at dating and extremely nervous.

he is very agressive and it's a little scary for me. so i don't know how i am going to do. haha.

well i hope you have fun.  you could always have a friend call you at dinner with an "emergency" and you will just have to leave to help her after dinner if it isn't going well.  I've used that once or twice!  LOL!

HEY GUYS!!!!!

I just tallied up our loss so far!  For the eight people that have submitted weigh ins for our team we have lost 30.4 pounds!  I am pretty sure my calculations are correct.

That is just just great!

So that is how it is huh Cristin, I may be an old fart but I would rather you just speak up and tell me "hey, I don't think this is going so great. Thanks for dinner but I am ready to go home." What is so hard in that. Then again a lot of the guys now days really don't know how to treat a woman to make her feel special. Sorry, ladies I was born and raised a Southern Gentleman by my Daddy. If a  first date and I asked you out, keep your money in your pocket! I am buying, but don't expect a two carot diamond on the first date. After the first date if you want to help out then you may. I will open your door, pull out your chair for dinner, etc.... If things get more serious and end up in love then I would ask your Daddy for your hand. I got married in 1993 and I did not even propose to my wife until AFTER I had her mom and dad's permission. I never pressure anyone into doing something they don't want to do. Case in point I did not kiss my wife until after we had been dating almost a month. I respect whomever I may go out with. That includes friends as well as my family. Just be forwarned there aren't too many of us left out there, so if you find one hold on.

Blaynedrops, let this guy know that if he hurts ya, he has got a 6'2", 265 lb REDNECK comin' for him. (Guys will NOT mess with three ladies in my life, My Momma, My Wife, My Sister (My friends fit into the my sister category). Have fun with dinner and what ever happens after.

Papa

Oh papa....the reason I said that was because there aren't many men like you out there anymore.  Most men don't know how to treat a woman as well as you have described.  Lucky for me, I weeded thru those ones and found a good one.  Sorry if I am a bit cynical

No worries, I was just picking on you. Thank you for the compliment and congrats on finding one yourself. You all will soon find out that since I am normally one of the only GUYS in these threads I can give you a hard time and well as take a hard time from you. I may be close to 40 but I am 20 mentally most of the time. I like to have fun!

So I was looking at another forum and they set minigoals for themselves for the week.  Do  you guys have any weekly goals?

thanks guys. the date went really really well.

Hey team,

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I did, I got to go visit my parents and just got back last night.  They are aware of my weight loss goals and were very supportive my whole visit.  I got to walk lots while I was there.  My weight loss this week unfortunately was a victim of the totm.  I still lost but not as much as I had hoped (only 0.8lbs.)  That might make for a nice big number next week though.

As for goals, this week my goal is to spring clean.  I know it doesn't sound like a weight loss goal but it is.  I was reading that it's easier work out regularly and eat right when you aren't living in a clutter.  If I cut the clutter it will contribute to my new lifestyle.  So I'm going to try that bit of advise out.  I spring clean in the mornings and after the kids nap I'm going to walk to the post office to check the mail.  I also bought a stair stepper that I'm going to use while watching TV so that instead of being tempted to consume calories I'll be burning instead.  So now having said all this here I'm going to really work at it so that next week I can say it's done and move on to a new goal.

I'm 7 pounds from my reward so I'm looking forward to that.  Does anyone else have a reward system?  Mine is:

Break into 170's: Assorted pampering supplies (at home facial, nail polish, ect..)

Break into 160's: Three tanning sessions.

Break into 150's: A facial (never had one before)

Break into 140's: A massage (I won't be so self conscious about it this time!)

Break into 130's: Nice knee high boots and a long leather jacket!!

How is my family today! I am sore, the strength class I go to on Tues and Thurs kicked my butt yesterday. Normally we work the heck out of the legs, well yesterday it was arms instead. In the class we lift while during step exercises, yes you guessed it. I grabbed the weight I was used to for legs, but NOT used to for arms, and being the only GUY in class was NOT about to go trade for a lighter weight! I made it through, but sore today, the good kind of sore though. It is not the sore that makes you never want to go back to the gym. I have made that my motivation now anyway. If you are sore the only way to work it away is to GO BACK TO THE GYM! I am weighing in today offically.

Cutiepiemommy - I am glad you have the support from your family, just remember you have the support of your OTHER family as well. You may not have lost as much as you wanted but you will lose all you want in the end. I see your reward for the 130's and was curious, what are the Knee highs and Leather Jacket for? wink wink!

Blaynedrops - So I am guessin you don't need the big REDNECK to come take care of anything for ya! Good to hear you had a good time.

Well, if we are going to start listing rewards then here are the goals I have left.
Break into the 260's (for good) - New shorts (ones that fit!)
Break into the 250's - New shoes
Break into the 240's - New Wardrobe! When I do this I will be with Blaynedrops and have lost 100 pounds. I told myself I would not buy any new clothes until I hit triple digits, well here it is and I will be buying some new stuff. Don't be surprised if I ask what I should get, the last time I got any NICE new clothes was a very long time ago. I will let you ladies pick me out an outfit as long as it is not to girlie, and I will post some pictures afterward.

Saying for the day, is an oldie but a goodie!!!!  NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!!!!!

Hi Team!  How you all doing today?  I've been thinking of you, especially as I was meeting 3 thin friends for lunch today - usually a big ordeal for me!  I am pleased to say that today was different - thanks to my online family!  I didn't feel alone, I thought about what your advice would be on the menu choices, I avoided wine, bread and dessert, just finished with a coffee.  I feel really pleased and upbeat!  My weightloss profile on CC is "Team Player", and that has sometimes hampered my weight loss efforts - but today  I realised I am on a different team now - Team 3!

cutiepiemommy - glad to have you back with us after the weekend, I am so pleased you had a good time and that your parents were so supportive.  I think your reward system is a really good idea, I must give some thought to that.  Happy cleaning!

blaynedrops- so pleased the date went well.  Congratulations on your 100lb loss, that is truly amazing!

papa - can't wait to see the pics of you in your new shorts!!! :)

Have a wonderful evening everyone!

Hey ya'll,
Well, I just weighed in and I am pleased to say that where there is a will there is a way, somehow I actually lost weight this week! I did not think I was going to lose anything, but actually gain a pound or two. I lost a half of a pound, better than nothing. However, I have to say that Blaynedrops has got my competitive nature going again. I saw that after this last week she has passed me on the total amount lost. I need to kick it into overdrive now! I feel awesome, I just wish the weather would figure out what it wants to do either stay warm or stay cool, my knees are paying for the back and forth. I know it's Washington state and that is the weather all year. 2 years, 10 months and 14 days is all I have left though. After that I move my happy backside back home to Arkansas, at least there when it starts to get warm it stays pretty warm.

Keep ya head up! Papa
