way to go ev1..im sooo proud that i was able to meet each of you and its an honor to part of this incredible family.

A big congratulations to everyone!  Great job @ this week's weigh in!!  Also, thank you kjmadill for posting the results to our thread.

I may not post all that often, but I do come here and read up every day.  Reading about the "family" is inspirational and motivational, not to mention the good tips along the way.  I just may not have much to say that hasn't already been said on most days.  Embarassed

Today though, I do have to tell you that I owe all of you a big thank you.  Thinking of all of you helped get me through a pot luck at work today.  First, I filled half of my plate with the raw veggies and topped them with salsa instead of the dip.  Then, I added some fruit, olives, chicken salad on lettuce instead of the bun, 1/2 of a turkey sandwich on wheat and 1 spoonful of the whole wheat pasta salad.  My "splurge" was a couple of pickle roll slices (dill pickle covered with cream cheese & wrapped with corned beef then sliced).  I successfully avoided the meatballs, crescent rolls all three kinds of cupcakes, tiramisu, deviled eggs, punch, chips and all 3 kinds of dip (fruit, veggies and chips).

I also have to add that after the party over most of my co-workers were sitting around talking about how full they were and how sleepy it made them, but I felt GREAT!!

Now, don't get me wrong, I do have my "splurge" days, but today just wasn't one of them.  Laughing

Way to go Team three!!!

way to go team 3!!!

today was a very rainy day, so i had to do the indoor workout, which i would rather be outdoors! but i did go shopping for a couple of hours and did other errands, to make up for my outdoor workout...

congrands on all of your weight losses! and keep up the good jobs!

It finally came!!!  I ordered Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and it finally came yesterday.  I still have some cleaning to do today and I'm busy tomorrow but on Monday I'm going to start doing it daily.  If it works out for me I'll let you all know.  It also came with a 30 day free pass to her online team and a year's subscription to Fitness Magazine absolutely free.  Unfortunately the magazine is only available to US citizens so if anyone here wants it let me know.  I'll give it to the first person who asks.

So for the next 30 days I'm going to have four strong supports, I'll have my wonderful butt-kicking team 3 which I do believe is unstoppable, my one month free gym pass, my dvd and Jillian Michael's online team.  This is going to be one great month.  If I find anything helpful I'll post it for all of you.

Hope everyone is doing well.  I'm super pumped and ready to go now!  Nothing can stop us team 3!!!

I thought I'd add in a little inspiration that has kept me going positive.

"You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be."

Ohh Cutiepie I am SO PUMPED FOR YOU!!!  I Love love love Jillian Michaels!  Let me know how you like the 30 day shred and how you like the online team too!

Hey Fam!

I haven't posted here because I didn't know this existed!  Woo hoo support!

I've been feeling like I'm losing my motivation.  You know?  Not wanting to do it anymore, or rather having some pretty unfounded fears.  But I WANT THIS!!

It's good to know I have support.  I've been feeling kind of alone in this, which honestly doesn't help me get going.

I'm having problems with my eating.  I don't know what diet to do.  I want to do no carbs, but that doesn't feel right to me no matter how hard I try.

I want to do this with my mom, but she is ADAMANTLY against counting calories.  I dont' have an issue with it, but she wants rules, or something she can just "know" in her head that will help her lose weight.

I, myself, would like that as well.  Does anyone have an easy diet that I could do?  When I say easy I mean, not 18 bajillion phases or anything, just wise words of dieting?

That'd really help me.

- Jillian

Hello, Team Three

Thanks for the nice email Papa... I've been reading the posts and taking all the encouraging words.  I'm just not great at this forum thing--can't translate what I'm feeling into written words.

austij020- I don't think "diets" work.  You have to make a lifestyle change or the weight will just come back.  I read several different books and took things that I knew I could do for the rest of my life.  The weight has been coming off slow...but it is coming off and I can eat this way for the rest of my life.  I loved Dr. Oz's book "You on a Diet".  I don't use everything from his suggestions, but I did get alot of good ideas from his words.  When people ask me what diet I'm on..I tell them I am eating properly and exercising every day. I think I've even inspired several people to try.

blayne- Congrats on the 100+ pounds.  You are awesome!

GO! Fight! Win!  Team Three

Hi Team 3!!!

Hope you have all had a good weekend!  I am pleased with myself today - I had lunch in an Indian Restaurant with friends - one of those Sunday lunch buffets where you can go back for seconds if you want to.  I didn't!  I made good choices too, Chicken Tikka and salad, no rich calorie laden sauces, no rice, poppadums or naan bread - is my halo shining too brightly...?  I looked up the calories of things on the Daily Plate as Midnight_mocha suggested and Chicken Tikka was quite acceptable!  The only slightly indulgent thing was a scoop of coconut ice cream for dessert - but it was worth the calories - yum!  Thanks family, because of you I didn't feel the need to eat everything in sight!  Sorry I am going on a bit.............!

austj020 - welcome to the Team 3 thread!  I am glad you found out about us.  This is certainly the place to come for support and motivation.  It has been a great help to me.  I am not doing an actual "diet".  I eat protein, fruit and vegetables, (smaller portions than I used to have!) the only cereal type-thing I eat is oatmeal.  I have 1.5 cups a day of 2% fat milk, which I have with my oatmeal and in coffee/tea.  I sometimes have a Luna bar or half a Clif bar if I have a craving for some type of "cookie".  I avoid white rice, bread,  pasta and potatoes most of the time and have just discovered quinoa which is a good substitute for rice - quite tasty and high protein, low carb.  I have cut out added salt, and importantly, I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day!  Hope this helps.

Have a good evening everyone!  Good luck on Tuesday!

good morning team 3 family! how was everyones weekend??? mine was pretty good! and yesterday the weather was beautiful!! so i grilled out!! yummmy!!!  sat. i had a cheat day. Embarassed but i did keep count of my calories, and surpriseing i didnt go over!!! but i didnt have all healthy foods. Undecided  i was craving something sweet..... and i found out if i dont give my body something that it is yelling for, i want to eat unhealthy.....so once a week if my body wants it i give in.... but i think i did pretty good  cause after i had a little debbies swiss roll, (2 in one package) that satisfied me and was able to get back on track! and i have been walking my backyard.... as i live in the country on a major highway where there is no sidewalks.... so my backyard has to do.... i started with 5 laps and had no idea how far i walked. now i got a pedometer and increase to 10 laps which equals 1/2 mile.... yesterday i did 20 laps which was a mile..... i am slowly working my way up to walking more. but it mainly depends on how my feet feel for the day.... as i have repaired shredded legments in both ankles and tarsel tunnel in both! and yes it really upsets me that i can jog anymore! and that is how i got this weight on!! so slowly i am increasesing the laps!!

sorry to go on and on!!

tomorrow is weigh in day so that mean today is last chance workout!! so make it a good one!!

good luck to all of you tomorrow!! i know i can do it!! and you can too!!

Hey guys.  Just wanted to warn you that this weigh in probably isn't going to be a good one for me.  I didn't do well with my eating this weekend.  Needless to say, I was not so much following what the sbd says.  Sorry.  I hope everyone else does well

this week has been horrible. my eating has been out of control (inching my way back to clean eating tho) and then to top things off, TOM paid his monthly visit and brought all his hormonal friends with him.  but i will weigh in and i don think im gonna like these numbers at all..but i am glad this week is over- as for my last chance workout........some light walking this afternoon....look out next week im going for a big number!

i hope ev1 else does well..i blew it this week...but im still in it.

Welcome Austij20 and Starstruck!  This is quite a great little team we have.  Post if you have questions or encouragement or a vent, or just to share a thought or a trial!  We are so glad to have you!

Great job letsgetitstarted and and wildntaken!  I used to do laps around my neighbourhood as well!  Have you ever watched the show Big Brother?  THey do laps around the backyard too, so that reminded me of you! (I love that show).  It is all about making the right food choices for your situation!

Cristin and Mocha: Brush the dirt off your shoulder!! You can't dwell on what happened, or what choices you have already made.  You have to look forward and start making good choices now.  So you ate crappy at lunch today, afterwork, hop on that treadmill, or break out those work out videos.  It is all about the choices you make going forward.  Renew your committment to make better choices from now on.  Write that committment out on a piece of paper and sign it.  THat will make it more official!  Remember your whole team is behind you! If you are having a difficult time one day with food and you really want to binge, come here and post to this thread, or message one of us, we will gladly talk you out of it.  If you can't get the motivation to workout, post here or message one of us, we will work to pump you up!!

That goes for all of us!!! We are a team, and we are here to push each other on to great things!!!

Pride on Three! Pride on Three!

I second everything kjmadill says!  I also walk laps around the backyard if I haven't reached my 10,000 steps for the day!  I used to worry what the neighbors would think if they saw me - now I don't give a damn!

i dont worry what my neighbors think, the ones across the road cant see me, and my aunt lives on one side of me and my cousin on the other.... and most are gone when i am walking....  i guess i am ready for weigh in..... i walked a mile.... which was pretty good for me, and when hubby got home we went out and drug some more logs up to the bonfire pile.... which was a workout!! drag them up a hill and empty hand going back down.... the pics of that hill is in my gallery of pics if you want to see...  and i am waiting for my yard to dry up a little more so i can start my garden!! cant wait!!

and i love big brother!!

good luck everyone!
