Right on!

Team one is gonna rock this!

Heck yes! I have been working like mad to get off this pesky baby weight  I started back to work today for the first time and was all over my school(I am a teacher), up and down the stairs! Let's hope that every day activity helps melt away this weight!

Great job taking the stairs!

I think we're going to kick butt on this.

Sooooo, what are everyone's stats?

I'm 29, F, 5'8" 147lbs - need to lose 13lbs

My favorite form of exercise is step class, I don't like weight lifting but I do it 3 days a week.  I walk when I can and I have a horse I ride 3 days a week too.

On a low calorie, whole foods diet.  No processed anything.

I'm single with no kids so my life is pretty much all my own.   I love to cook and like trying new recipes...I'll eat just about anything which makes dieting very hard for me.

42, F, 5'9", SW 233 lbs. I do NOT speak english.

Tried calorie restriction since July 27, 2007, got really edgy and food-obsessed in few months, stopped. Swiched to low-carbing mid-january, after couple of months of reading through (seemingly endless) materials on PCOS. Got my health reward literally in a week :) and feel great and comfy so I believe I can stick to this regime til the end of my days -- and stickability is the most important feature of a good plan.

Average weight loss has been 5 lbs a month, so I suppose in 12 weeks I can contribute 14-18 lbs to team's total.

Cheering works, sure. But in my opinion, it works on minute tasks; months-long efforts demand good planning and sticking to plan. That's why I suggest we shall start with team's SWOT analysis and rely least on slogans and screams.

Took my time and looked at everyone's profile. As a team, we are youngest -- that's our strength and weakness at the same time. Easier shedding, easier distraction. 2 members haven't signed in since subscribing to challenge, that's a bit disturbing, and reminds how helpful should it be if team members can write or call to those who ARE distracted at weigh-in days -- or who have told us that they need some personal reminders to stick to their plans daily :D Probably best way to change contacts safely is through Caloriecount's messages.

Hey all!

Alright, here's the rundown. I'm 27, F, 5'3" SW 192 (CW 192 as well)

I have 2 weight loss goals. One is a realistic goal of getting back to 160, which is what I weighed when I met my boyfriend 3 years ago. My UNrealistic goal is 127, which is where I was when I graduated high school (and we're coming up on 10 years next year!) I'd like to meet them both within the next year.

This is going to be awesome! I'm so pumped! Good luck everyone! Let's kick some butt!!!

Hey Team!

My name is Angela, I am 24 years old, weigh 239, and am 5' 8".  I started on CC back in September and I weighed 266! ICK...so I'm slowly but surely working my way down to my goal weight of 156 (that is where the BMI says I won't be overweight).  And with summer approaching, I'm gonna have to start busting my butt to get these pounds gone!

Right now I coach and play volleyball, do about 400 minutes of cardio each week minimum and I also do weight lifting about 3-4 times a week. I stick to a well balanced low-cal diet and as long as I keep to it, it works great!

My personal email is on my profile, feel free to email me on CC or on there :)

Lumumba: seems like you have a pretty good analysis going on, I think that will be great motivation for our team!  And you are right too, I get distracted easily :)

I look forward to winning this challenge with all of you!

Hi everyone!

I'm 5'6'', 18, SW 155.6

I'd my end goal is 136, but I'd like to drop 10 pounds by June. That is probably unrealistic for me, I lose weight slowly, but I'm determined to get in shape. My high school grad is coming up around June/July so I'd like to smaller:)

Glad to be a part of the groupSmile

Hello everybody!
I'm trying to lose the last 15 lbs.....I lost 50lbs in my first year of exercise and good eating....BUT these last 15 are the most difficult.
I am ready to rock and get it done!

Hey everyone.  I am a 5'9'' 28 year old. SW 214 CW 207.  I just had a baby in December and am trying to lose the weight.  I would like to be down to 170, the site recommends 154. I have no actual date for this goal, I want to lose it and keep it off.  I am also nursing so they suggest slow weight loss as not to mess with nourishment of milk.  I am hoping for 2 lbs a week, losing 24 during this next 12 weeks!  My sister's wedding will be July 12 and that will help me look better in that strapless dress!

Good morning!!

How is everyone feeling today??

Are we motivated?? I am! Mainly b/c I went to Yoga class on Wednesday and I worked out on my lunch break yesterday. I feel awesome today because of that! Heeee!! Laughing

Feeling okay:) Getting on the elliptical in a couple of hours so I'll be burning more calories and will feel even better. Yeah!! I'm motivated!!!!!!!!

yep,
I'm motivated! I'm hoping to have a wonderful weekend so I can do good on the next weigh in...
Goals for the weekend are:
1) workout fri, sat, sun
2) eat plenty veggies/fruits
3) rest and water

I  am one of the two that didn't check in earlier and I am close to 50 (although I can barely believe it).

So far I am the heaviest member of the group at 244 pounds.  BUT, I will work hard to keep up with the younguns!   I am going to post our team names on my refrigerator and in my bathroom so that I remember what I do or don't do is of consequence to our team.  That should help!

Good morning (as it's late morning here now) and healthy pounds-dropping!

Cece, this week You have done miracles already, says your ticker :) and plenty of rest is SO important!

Transformation2008, good idea, helps see this as a part of teamwork. I've all the time feeled like working on something very lonely and somewhat clueless and... oh, can't really catch and decribe this feeling. Names of "colleagues" before my very eyes changed it already :D

Meeshelle, gym 4 times a week is great! And congrats on sizes!

Thanks to everybody here for sharing your feelings and ideas and inspiration!

LaughingHappy Saturday!!!

So, I have worked out for 4 days in a row now, and I feel awesome (my legs hurt and every time I notice the pain, it's a reminder of how hard I've been working, is that weird???) I don't work on the weekends and I actually got up off my booty and did some step-aerobics in my living room! HAA! I actually only plan to work out 4 days a week, and then I have Yoga class on Wednesdays. But for the first week or two, I have to make myself work out every day to help get me into a routine.

I LOVE love LOVE love the idea of the teammates names on the fridge. How thoughtful and clever is that?! Awesome. You guys are going on my message board. I've noticed that I do great all day at work, but when I get home at night, that's when I eat stupid food. But I'm getting better!

Anyway, just wanted to check in! I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!

Jada

oh dear.  Friday and Saturday have been terrible for me.  I am eating like crazy and I can't help it! arghghh.  I even packed my lunches and intended to run, but this is my first week back to work after my maternity leave and I just wanted to hang out with my baby!

Don't worry, this little spiral of shame WILL NOT continue!  Tomorrow is a new day and central park is calling my name for a long walk with the baby in the stroller(extra calories burnt!)

Hello everyone,

I'm 22, 5'8" 181 lbs and would like to get to 140 lbs.

Def. feeling motivated today. Have been ill for the last few days so havn't been great on the diet and exercise but i'm focused and ready to get this done.

My main focus is to lose at least 28lbs by my holday in July I think its do-able but i'm going to have to stay focused.

I know this probably sounds sad but i find watching the biggest loser aus 3 on youtube (as i'm in england and they don't show it on tv here) a great inspiration. They've all done so well, so i think why can't i do that. The thing i find the hardest is getting up in the morning to work out! Thats tough, i love my sleep so trying to get up before 6.00 is a big issue.

Glad we've got a good group of people. Good luck everyone for the up coming week and remember the only thing stopping you from losing weight is yourself.

Laughing Loz xx

hey guys! Back on track today big time.  Am eating like a champ and just did a Biggest Loser workout.  In case you guys didn't know, if you have cable( I have time warner) you can go to channel 1025 - Exercise on Demand and they have tons of workout for free...

I did a 22 minute cardio workout put together by Bob from Biggest Loser.  I feel great and am steaming my broccoli and tilapia right now for dinner...Woot!

Lets go team one!!

Teresa

Well, yesterday I did a 45 minute step class and also lifted free weights for about an hour.  THEN I went to my friends 40th b-day party and drank wine and snacked at the hors d'oeurve table.  I think I was somewhere around 2600 calories and then I stopped counting.

Today, I took a 45 minute spinning class and ate 1400 calories (all very healthy).

It's also ttom so we'll see what weighing in on Tuesday looks like.

Monday is step class and weights again so hopefully things will work out well.
