Team 1 Thread for the Biggest Loser Challenge -- Part 6
Hello Ladies~ (Are there no men?)
I hope you all don't mind but I would like to write everyday.
It will be great accountability for me. Perhaps the rest of the team will also get on here more and feel the same support and accountability...
1. I sure have enjoyed reading everybody's posts. There are interesting lives behind each team member and future achievements and milestones beckening all.
2. If I had it to do all over again, I would have lost weight once and for all when I was younger (as most of you are) instead of some day down the road. I wouldn't have let more weight take hold each year no matter how stressful life got. Exercise would have been a more productive response to stress than eating and drinking colas anyway.
3. Not to make excuses, but just to let you all know, this is not going to be a good week for weight loss for me. My family is just getting use to the idea that meals are gonna be changing and priorities are shifting towards health.
4. I am getting the exercise gear together, meals planned ahead, and strategy laid out. I believe Abraham Lincoln would call it sharpening the saw.
5. But after the first week weigh in; I commit to my team to give this thing my full effort on both good days and bad days.
6. Bad days would consist of time constraints with exercising and wanting to binge as an emotional eater. Perhaps other ex-emotional eaters could share some of their strategies with me....
7. Anyway, thanks for listening. Hopefully, our team will use the next 11-12 weeks to work our butts off (pun intended) and forge ahead. There are more exciting mountains to conquer after this! God speed everyone!
PS Should we have a team name as the other groups do? Or not? Just thinking out loud...
Happy Monday Morning!!
This is the first time in a long time that I don't have "A Case Of The Mooonndays" hehehe.
I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the weather to get better, and then yesterday, out of nowhere, it was in the mid - high 70's (or at least it felt like it!) So we busted out the bike rack, aired up the tires, and did 15 miles on our bicycles! HEEEE!!! I can't describe how good it felt to be out there again!!! I haven't been able to ride since October! (Wooo my butt hurts too hahaha) The fact that the weather is finally warming up really motivates me and I think the sushine did me some good. I didn't even think about sunblock, so can you believe it's only April 7th and I have a sunburn??? LOL. I'm not even upset. I'm gonna be spending as much time as possible on that trail. YEAH!!
Anyway, I hope everyone has as great a morning as I'm already having!
So, what are some goals each of you have for this contest? I mean, I know we all have weightloss goals, but, I have some jeans I used to wear 2 years ago before I gained all this weight that I couldn't possibly even get over my thighs now. I know my boyfriend would love to see me wearing them again, beaming with pride and glowing with confidence. So I'm keeping my favorite pair in a place where I can see them every day. It's cheesy and cliche` but I really think it will help me. I want to be able to wear them by July (we are going out of town). Anyone else have any little motivators like that?
Yes, my motivator is my holiday to France in July. I don't want to be hiding my big arms away in long sleeved tops any more, and to feel comfortable in my bikini! I was looking at the photo's from my last holiday and i looked hideous...
I've been really good today, had 840 cals so far and just my dinner to go. How's everyone else doing?
Wow 15 miles... that's wicked! those lb's will be dropping off if you keep that up!
veganjada- Are you still hurting today? Pretty impressive to ride a bicycle 15 miles after a long winter! You go girl!
Lorenzina- France in July! Wow! That is some motivation.
To all- Let's do it!!! Last chance workout today. Tomorrow is weigh in. ~groan~
I worked out for two hours - 45 minutes step class, 15 minutes core conditioning class, 60 minutes weigh lifting.
I feel great! And tired!
I ate 1750 for calories today too.
Hopefully, I'll drop an lb for weigh in tomorrow!!!
Did you send the team leader your original weight on the BL thread, he nas ** next to your name in Team 1
Cece- I posted my weight on the Biggest Loser thread and sent Jeremy an email.
Did you meet your goals for the weekend?
POST CORRECTION/ The rules state that the contest is based on percentages. I don't know why I thought differently! Sorry for any confusion...
Hey guys...I realize it is like...6:45am but I am heading to work and want to post my weigh-in for today now!
so here it is...
sw214
4/1 - 207
4/8 - 205.5!
yes, only 1.5 lbs but it loss nonetheless! I was afraid after my meltdown on Friday and Saturday! Yay for loss!!
Good luck with weigh-ins today!
Well done resabg3, that's a really good weight loss.
I stayed the same weight this week but havn't been very good. But i'm totally dedicated now so next week i'm going to do really well. That's my promise to team 1.
Hows everyone else done?
SW 148
today 147!
Last week was tough! Yeah, only a pound but I'm never going to be able to lose 2 lbs in a week anyway. I'd LIKE to, but that's not going to happen!
That's too bad he's not doing percentage. I wonder why not, percentage seems more fair then pounds in this case.
Hey team!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pretty decent one, I think I kicked my own butt on the treadmill, which is a good thing :)
I have a long workout planned for this afternoon and I'm excited! Oh, and I can't wait to watch the Biggest Loser finale tonight!
Here are my stats for the day:
Initial weight: 241.6
April 8th: 238.4
Loss: 3.2 lbs!!!!!
When I started losing I was at 266 in October so just a couple more pounds and I will reach my 30 pound mark :) YAY!
I'll be away from my computer the rest of the day, but I will definitely post and comment more tomorrow, have a great wonderful and healthy day everyone!
Faulker1 nice job on the 3+ lbs!!!
I'm trying to lose almost all belly fat (probably about 80%)...it is so hard!!!
I do cardio 5 days per week, lift weights 3 days per week and have a 1000-500 calorie deficit every day.
I am on a whole foods balanced diet and eating 6 times per day.
That's what it takes to lose one pound of belly fat.
ARgh!
Once it's off, it's not going back on!
My start date was March 10th at 155 lbs, Today is 147 so I am motivated!
Go Faulker1! ~Congrats to all that lost weight~
SW - 244
W1 - 243
Weekly Loss - 1
Total Loss - 1
Next week should be a BIG number! Absolutely...
Good job everybody! Seems like the 1lb loss is a trend this week ![]()
SW 192
CW 191
I've been doing ok but not as good as I should. This was really my first week on CC, so I'm still getting used to everything. I can't wait for next week's weigh-in!
You guys is what I need right now, I didn't do as much as I wanted this weekend, and it is affecting me.
I need to get myself in gear and focused.
ABOUT THE POSTING RULES : I THOUGHT WE REPORTED TO THE MAIN BL THREAD
We do! :)
Just thought it would be fun to post them in here too!

You can do this! Your team is counting on you.
I am committed to exercising 100 minutes every day (at least for this week)! I love watching Biggest Loser and watch reruns for inspiration as I use the Nordic Track. If they can do it (huge numbers weekly) then I should be able to so something on a smaller scale so long as I work on it.
Can you make a commitment to follow through this week with the goals you have set? ONLY IF you want to.... But accountability can be motivating~
vegan- I agree with you. I love reading your posts. You are so enthusiastic!
Feeling low today. But havn't reached for the biscuits!
How's everyone else doing?
I made my very healthy lunch last night of burgen bread chicken and avacado, no mayo! So pleased with that.
Is everyone in our team from the US apart from me?

Awwww shucks
I try!!! Hee hee hee..
And to answer the questions about the 15 miles, YES I was so sore, I had to take a break from working out Mon & Tues. (My calves were killin me!) But it's back to Yoga today at lunch!
It's been raining here the past 2 days. Yuck. Anyone else have a hard time sticking to a *diet* or working out when the weather sucks? All I wanted to do after work yesterday was eat and curl up on the couch and watch the Biggest Loser! By the way, did anyone vote?? I can't bring myself to vote, I love both of them so much and can't decide who I would want to be able to go to the finals!! I hope one of the girls wins this time though. I think Ali is gonna do it for sure!
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day! ![]()
