It is possible to lose 15 lbs in a month, even more.

Just eat plenty of vegetables and fruits....Stay away from desserts, breads and pasta...Potatoes.  (It's okay to have what you enjoy every now and then just dont go overboard.)

Use the tools on this site for help...A female should eat at least 1200 calories...

Plenty of EXERCISE! Go for 20-25 mins a day or start out with 15 mins and add 5 mins with every week that goes by.

If you stick to the plan by eating healthy, count the calories, stay within your appropriate calories and exercise, youll be on the road to a thinner you. :)

P.S. Make water your friend till the end.
thank you so much! if anyone else has any other tips...i will gladly read them!
Isn't the healthy suggestion 1-2 pound per week. So only max 8 pound per month?
However, maybe if you started off with an unhealthy lifestyle, you're carrying water wegiht.

Please dont get obessed with weight loss. its not about how much you weigh, but if you fit into that dress, right? So tone up, dont starve, or you'll have super sggy skin.

I suggest replacment, kinda like whats above. But you dont just cut out food. Replace it with lower cal, healthy alternatives, that keep you satisfied. Chocolate cake for dessert? I dont think so! Grab a bowl of fresh fruit - rockmelon and sweet, sweet strawberries. Relearn how great natural fruit is. Grab a no fat yogurt, instead of the full-fat. Switch to skim. Cut out butter, or erpalce with low-fat marg or use fruit spread instead.

I'd say 30 mins exercise each day, but that can be walking. Maybe do a weights 20 mins, run 10 mins on day one, 15 15 day 2, 10 20 day 3, and a 30 min walk day 4. Just try and be active. Bounce around, get out in the sun (with suncreen!) swim, run skip, anything.

Drink LOTS of water. Flush the rubbish you used to eat of out of your system. when you're hungry, drink water.
Swtich your snacks to healthy ones. Dont be fooled into thinking dried fruit will helpo - its cal dense. Healthy, but not good for a new diet. So stick to fresh fruit (mandarins... mmm) crackers with laughing cow light cheese, rice-cakes, 100 cal snack packs (ok, not healthy but portion controlled) your own home made no oil popcorn

Make surey ou have breakfast. A big heart bowl of oatmeal with fruit shoudl do the trick. Make it without milk (but hald 1/2 - 3/4 a glass of skim oon the side) to save cals,

I don't know herring...Janet Jackson lost 15 lbs for 6 months straight, eating 6 meals a day and 45 mins of cardio everyday.

I guess it can be healthy if you eat the way you're suppose to.

Nutrition is important, Im on a plateau at the moment and trying to get below 150...So..
i think 15lbs is too much by june 21st.  i'd try for 10 if i were you, that way it is more likely you will keep it off and you wont drive yourself insane in hte process.  good advice on fruits and veggies, also get some protein in every meal.  cut out junky, processed food.  30-45 minute walks 4-5 times a week will do you wonders, if you want to keep up with it after graduation, make your way up to jogging.  try to make your carbs complex, whole wheat instead of white, oatmeal should be your best friend for breakfast.  and limit processed sugar.  and i agree, drink water. and if you drink sugary soda or juice, cut that out, you will lose a few pounds on that alone.
I wouldn't recommend trying to make yourself lose 15 lbs in just a month.  That is a little too fast- tho it is possible, you will be doing more harm than good.  Also, if you stop the changes and go back to your old patterns after graduation, believe me you will gain it all back plus more!

If you ARE eating a healthy diet, enough calories, and exercising...and the weight does come off really fast (which may happen for a younger person like yourself) then that is  fine, but trying to MAKE yourself lose 15 pounds in such a short time could really stress your body- and you don't need that when you are trying to graduate!

However, you can definitely lose about half that amount, the right way, in a month by making changes to your diet as aeromancer said!!! (Also, you will need to exercise.  If you have any ??'s about that I am a personal trainer and could give you some tips.)

Jus think- if you keep going after you graduate, you could reach your goal weight only a month or so after your graduation!  Then maybe you could send your friends pics of the 'new you'!  I am sure they would love to hear from you after you all graduate, and wouldn't that be a great way to keep in touch?

PS- Don't make a certain weight your only goal.  Measure your waistline too and see if it changes!  Sometimes people gain muscle mass, which is good, and therefore don't see a change on the scale, but they are getting healthier.  If you go to a gym, you might be able to get your body fat done too.
one short note-- if it doesn't make you feel better most of the time, it's not a good diet.

Examples:  If you get a lot of headaches, constantly hungry, nauseous, etc.  Then you probably need to eat more.  Pay attention to your body!!!
i agree with snowhite- you don't want to simply focus on the number on the scale, but the waistline. i think it's POSSIBLE... but eat lots of fruits and veggies and EXERCISE! good luck :)
please dont use margarine instead of butter! its better to have the natural calories of butter (if you use organic) then then health affects of margarine.
wouldnt you rather have a few extra calories but be healthier?
thanks!!!

any other suggestions? please help!

At the end of the month I'm going to turn 14.  And as of this morning I weighed 151 (and I'm 5'5), and by the end of the school year I wanna weight 130ish.  If you have any special advice I would love it!  If I find anything that works wonderfully,  I will make sure to post it!
