I'm 18 and the same weight as you last time I checked! (A week ago?) I'm 5'5".

You're not alone. ^^

hi, if i havent gained weight from a few binges lately, then i also have a bmi of 26

i know all the teen here have  a BMI of 20 or less

17 5' 2'' 143

you know that we're supposed to have 1800 minimum cals
simply less, you are only 13!!

you should not go on any diet whatsover. if you choose to, eat healthfully on 1800 cals BUT DO NOT GO BELOW THAT YOU WILL  REGRET IT have 30 minutes of excercize

& in no time youll be thin &  strong young woman!

:)

yeh, thxs,

a teenager has to have 2500 calories not 1800!

I know thats the minimum requirements for a teenager because the moderators told me!

so I have 2500 calories with 30 of exercise :]

carnt get any healthier then that :}

really? its 2,500!?!

not wonder i still always get hungry

be sure you have 3-4 cups of milk daily!!!

:]

yep I have that too! (my grandparents are weird on calcium)

simply_less, i feel fat just looking at your stats. im 5"3 but i weigh about the same as you (150)

and yes my bmi is def. over 26.

simply_less it says on your profile that you want to weight 99 lbs. Now dear, please realize that's unhealthy, you'd have a BMI of 17,which is underweight. At my lowest weight (I was 79lbs,and anorexic, and had a BMI of 16.8) believe me it was NOT pretty. Besides, you're probably not done growing. But if you want to lose weight just eat healthfully and excercise! I wouldn't begin counting calories if I were you and when you have lost the weight, believe me, you'll feel it and feel great. Good luck chica :]

I am not a teenager anymore; I am 21 and have a bmi of (i think) 29. I weigh 176 lbs and want to weigh no less that 150.

After I had my son at 18, I wanted to lose all the weight I had gained. I did, and then some more. I got down to 137 lbs, which for me is very thin. I was hardly eating and was in school and working and so stressed I lost my appetite. My doctor told me I had to gain weight. I know it doesn't sound like I was very thin, but for my frame, it was. I am 5' 5" and I have a medium frame.

My husband hated when I weighed 137. Now that I weigh more (and a lot of it is muscle), he is so completely obsessed with my body, I will never lose that much weight again!

He once told me something I will never regret: "Have you ever noticed that all the great artists of the past have always painted full-bodied women in their masterpieces? That's what's beautiful. It's the way a woman is meant to be."
2500? i dont eat that much...

99lbs is still at a healthy weight according to the kids health BMI website!

I can weigh anything from 89lbs - 121lbs. :]

kelcy - yes, what your husband said is so true :)

mts2457 - its unhealthy to eat anything less!

purplechowder - where working on it :]

"its unhealthy to eat anything less!"

well i'm 17, almost an adult (i consider myself an adult already), and i think i can handle it responsibly. my basal metabolic rate is something around 1400 and if i dont exercise A LOT, 2500 would make me gain weight. Plus i've currently lost about 25 pounds and my body requires less calories than before when i was overweight.
im way, over you!. im like 29.6. 75.8 kg!..... whoa!, i just noticed ur ashlee. dude!.

mts2457 - well if you consider yourself an adult, then why did you post here??Undecided I'm sorry If I sound rude.

shaheenhearts - yeh, your probably shorter then me!

I just turned eighteen, so I'm both an adult and a teen. ^^

My BMI was 26 last time I checked, and 120 is the weight I need to reach to be "healthy." Personally, I don't think that I'm three exclamation marks fat, and I'm approximately 5' 4" too. Your bold declaration made me cringe a little when I first saw it, especially since 154lbs is nearly exactly what I was when I started.

Condescension doesn't meet with favor on the Internet, I promise. You're thirteen! You have your entire life ahead of you, and your middle-high school years are the times that you need to shape your priorities for the rest of your life. Health is a admirable priority to set. However, having such an outrageous goal in your weight could easily become an obsession.

Take a load off. Who you are isn't defined by how much you weigh or what you look like. Take that from someone who fits your basic description, notwithstanding the five year gap. :)

Its not that simple.

easier said then done.

Im with you!

It seems as if everyone here is not big at all..

Its somewhat annoying hearing them call themselves fat and be like

"well if youre fat what am I?"

yeah my BMI's

29

:]

umm... no offense but  isn't 2500 cals kind of exaggerated? I used to have 70 kgs and I'm just your height (165cms) but if I actually ate that much I would've only gained more. aren't we supposed to eat like 1200-1400 Cals? (I'm sorry if I sound rude or anything like that... I don't actually know that much about dieting so if I'm wrong please feel free to correct me)
