Teens how many calories do you eat?
somehow I gained like ~20lbs eating 1200-1400cal, after 'recovery' from my lowest of 87lbs... a year later I was 106-107lbs
decided I'm sick of gaining on ridiculously low 'diet' amounts of calories so I upped them...
I now eat about 1600-1800cal a day, and to my surprise the scale now says 105lbs after just a little over a week of a 'normal' amount of calories.. whether or not its a fluke it is enough to keep me eating
I hope to increase excersize a little and get up to 2000cal without gain... my goal is to rebuild my metabolism, and maintain for right now, i'd like to lose a few pounds in the future if possible, but that is not my top priority right now... getting my body 'fixed' is.
I'm 20, I weigh 207 lbs and I'm six feet. I try to eat 2200 calories a day and so far it has been working well. I've been losing weight.
oh and i dont gain or lose weight on this, i have to eat a lot for my metabolism.
I have the same thing. I maintain on at least 2500. I'm 5'9 and about 126 lbs and people say I look too skinny. I'v tried gaining weight, but it really just doesn't work...even eating 3500 calories a day.
I'm 16, 6'2, 140 pounds, and I like to take in around 3000 daily.
5'11, 129, anywhere from 2000-2400 a day, but I'm fairly sedentary.
5'2, 97.5 lbs, and I maintain on about 2000-2500 calories ^o^
I'm 17, 5'11.5 about 125 and maintaining on roughly 1500 but I'm trying to up it to like 1800+
18, about 5"8ish (138 pounds) and losing very slowly on 1800 but that's partially cause I'm on holiday and haven't been exercising as much. Haven't tried maintaining yet but expect I'd maintain on about 2300.
Usually I exercise with 2-3x tae bo w/ pilates classes a week and a maybe a jog or another class etc. And I am fairly active during the day walking to the bus and around campus...
Im 18 and 5'8" ish & 137 lbs
Eat between 1500-2000 calories a day
I'm a 16 year old female maintaining 118 lbs at 64.5 inches tall by eating 3000-4000 calories a day.
Im jealous, it seems like everyone else can maintain on so many more calories than me :[.
beckkkahhhx3-I only eat this much because my sole coping skill is exercise and thusly, I am insanely active. It's actually really annoying to eat so much after a while of doing it, just as I'm sure it's frustrating to eat very little. But hey, it's for my health. I need to fuel the movement somehow.=P
Do you eat according to the kid's calculator here? It is marvelously accurate and after a bit of water weight gain, I've seen many teens maintain on what it says after using diets wayyy lower in calories to maintain.
I'm 16 and 5'4.5" and I maintain on 2200-2500 aday.
Beckahhhhx3: the reason you find your weight so hard to maintain is because you are underweight. Eat more, if you gain naturally, than just let it be. Start lifting weights and it won't be soft at all
I am 16 and a half, 106lbs, eating around 1700-1900 and exercising 5 times a week.
Really? I thought you were 14, 5'5" and 105 pounds - which according to my calculations makes your bmi 17.5 on the kid's calculator. You're not drastically underweight or anything, but there's no reason you should be dieting. And looking at your pictures I don't think you should have started to diet in the first place.
i'm 18.. i weigh around 104 lbs.. and i'm 5'1" short. ![]()
i still think i look chubby.. and i want to go down to around 97 lbs by may or june..
