Teens: what did YOU eat today?

I'm kind of copying the oh so popular topic found in the food forum. This is different, though: for teens! I think it's pretty interesting to see what we teenagers eat, and this will kind of give the chance for teens to see what other healthy foods they can add to their diet.. I sure know that my diet needs improvement XD

Oh, and the same rules as the one in the other forum applies.. especially do not post if you are not eating enough. Nobody wants to see it, and you're only hurting yourself in the long run; believe me, I found out the hard way.

I'll start!
breakfast: cheerios, a yogurt, & and orange
lunch: a turkey sandwich (i love low carb bread! really.) an apple, another yogurt, &wheat thins
after school: a peanut butter sandwhich on whole grain & an orange
dinner: probably light soup & a salad or something!

don't be shy XD

Boston: Hi, is almond butter exspensive where you live? Because where I live it's 13-17 $. : (

Breakfast- Cinnamon banana oatmeal (rolled oats, vanilla extract, large banana, and cinnamon), 14 honey graham sticks

Tinasaur: I really like almond butter, at my supermarket it's not much more expensive than natural PB. I like the taste of it but I'm a lot less likely to binge on it than peanut butter for some reason - plus I'm a HUGE believer in almonds and their health benefits

Tomorrow's Plan - my last day at home :( :( :(:

Breakfast: Oatmeal with 2 egg whites, vanilla extract, and cinnamon

Lunch: Leftover chicken with veggies made with fajita spices

Snack: 90 calorie tortilla with almond butter and a banana

Dinner: Grilled fish (have to see what's in the freezer - I'm hoping for salmon), topped with honey mustard vinaigrette, a huge side of sauteed veggies and some corn

I got it at Whole Foods for about $5, but it was on sale from $7-$8.

TINA-shop rite has almond butter for a little less than $4

hello all!

i've been looking at this thread for a while now, and finally decided to start posting. yay!

just for some backround info - i used to be anorexic, but i went into treatment, and i haven't restricted for quite some time and i'm pretty proud of myself for that. but lately i've been having A TON of problems with bingeing (not purging though) and it has pretty much wrecked my self esteem and made me gain more weight than i'm comfortable with. so hopefully posting here will help stop that.

i'm trying to lose about 5 pounds, mostly just because my jeans don't fit anymore XD. losing this weight won't make me underweight, and it's at the high end of a range my nutritionist gave to me when i started treatment for my ED.

breakfast - bowl of crispix with 2% milk, coffee with milk.

lunch - homemade mini pizza on english muffin with tomato sauce, cheese, and basil.

snack - a huge fuji apple.

dinner - big bowl of lentil soup (my fav food), spinach, and 3 matzo crackers.

and i know, i know, i didn't eat enough today, but i've felt sick all day. normally i eat more, i promise. (i aim for 1500-1600 cals a day, but if i go over, i try not to freak out.)

Today was unhealthily carb-heavy:

  • B:2 cups of coffee, 4 slices of bread
  • L:2 cups of cereal, 1 cup of milk, 2 slices of bread
  • D:3 slices of white cake w/white buttercream frosting (birthday event), 2 slices of bread
  • S:1 tall, skinny Vanilla Latte from Starbucks

I was doing fine--keeping myself on the low end of my caloric intake range...until the cake. Of course, I regret having taken 3 instead of simply 1 slice. <_< What was I thinking?

antagonist_manifesto - That must've been pretty damn tasty cake. XD I wouldn't worry about it. If it's tasty cake, and you enjoyed your carby day, no worries!

Breakfast - 3 Eggs & Baby carrots

Snack - Cheesy "Mashed Potato" Oatmeal (OH GOD, it had the texture and taste of mashed taters, no joke! It's just oatmeal with one egg mixed in ((crack the egg over the oatmeal just before the oatmeal is finished, mix it in, then let it cook a little)), and a slice of cheese mixed in. TRY IT! So yum!)

Lunch - Coco Dyno-Bites & Cheese Sammich (2 slices of whole grain white + cheese + Lettuce + Mayo)

Dinrar - Lots and lots of sweet potato fries w/ salad on the side + Boca Burger & Dark Chocolate Kiss

Snack - Cheese Sammich + Chocolate + Animal Crackers

I've been eating a lot of eggs these days. We went through one carton of 21 eggs within a week. XD

Breakfast: sliced bananas in soymilk + cinnamon; broiled grapefruit

Snack: Honeycrisp apple

Lunch: spinach & tomato salad; baked sweet potato fries; dried plums w/ peanut butter; soymilk + rice milk

Snack: applesauce

Dinner: chicken flautas; roasted carrots & yellow cauliflower

Snack: rootbeer-flavored popsicle :)
