I'm kind of copying the oh so popular topic found in the food forum. This is different, though: for teens! I think it's pretty interesting to see what we teenagers eat, and this will kind of give the chance for teens to see what other healthy foods they can add to their diet.. I sure know that my diet needs improvement XD
Oh, and the same rules as the one in the other forum applies.. especially do not post if you are not eating enough. Nobody wants to see it, and you're only hurting yourself in the long run; believe me, I found out the hard way.
I'll start!
breakfast: cheerios, a yogurt, & and orange
lunch: a turkey sandwich (i love low carb bread! really.) an apple, another yogurt, &wheat thins

Snack: Fiber one and soy milk
Dinner: Will have a chef salad (w/ egg, turkey and ham), probably some oatmeal too if I"m still hungry

And I'll probably have a banana with peanut butter later too.

Supper: 2 dry weetabix with chocolate custard and some mango.
Before bed: 2 instant hot chocolates.
Zebulancherry: nooooo, im guilty of buying it from the health food shop.
im too lazy to make my own ;)
It's finals week, which means extreme stress, which is really, really testing my resolve to go through with getting over my ED. But I'm trying my hardest! So maybe writing this out will force me to for SURE eat it.
Breakfast: 1/3 cup fiber one, oatmeal with a chopped apple
After the gym/after a thing for class: Coffee
Friends house for "studying": pasta. That's all he said. "I'll cook you pasta." I'm sort of terrified! :-\ I have no idea how much/what type/etc....
Dinner: tortilla, 1/4 hominy, 1/2 cup "zesty salsa" refried beans (haha)
After dinner: Apple, 1.5 cups honeycomb cereal
Sometime during the day, maybe, if need be.... oatmeal
I'm sort of unsure about what time I'll be getting back tonight, though. I might stay through "dinner" time, in which case I don't know. Also, alcohol may very well be involved. We're really great students, as you can probably guess.... Wish my luck!
Its interesting to see people all over the board in concerns with eating... but all aiming to manage their health and weights.
Hmmm... I am just trying to live healthier.
Breakfast: a chunk of a stale wheat bagel (then realized it was stale), handful of goldfishies. sometimes I have ramen instead.
Lunch: ham 6" sub sandwich on white (no choice... yay for college to-go lunches), carrots, apple, cookie, coffee
In the evening I will probably go jogging, right now have to study for finals :p
I usually eat a wheat bagel, carrots, an apple, a cookie and coffee for dinner, sometimes baked chips or an apple later on. Or if I am stuck eating in the dining hall I have a pita with hummus and veggies as well as an apple and occasionally a dessert, then a snack of apple or baked chips later.
It scares me what some people here eat - such the "perfect" diets? :p Its better just to eat on a schedule that can be maintained, and dropping below 1200 or so is a bad idea... in fact, you can harm your metabolism like that and will lose less weight at a slower rate. Not to mention your grades will drop and relationships will end because all one can do is think about food and wallow in self-pity/self-determination (been there, done that)
Also, note to those dieting - once the body gets below a certain weight, the body begins to lose muscle mass (right away) and bone mass (i.e. after periods stop). This is BAD. If you are like me, it won't hit until you go to have a bone scan and realize you have osteopenia, the precursor for osteoperosis, and probably have hurt your body permanantly. I have heard of people who end up wheelchair-bound or on crutches for life becuase Ana has robbed them of bone mass, and of course having an ED hurts your chances of ever studying abroad, getting good careers, etc. Some countries don't even let people suffering mental disorder in. Only when the doctor that says "osteopenia" or you are worried about getting approval to study abroad becuase of what the doctor said on the health form does it strike exactly how bad playing with Ana or Mia is. The bills from the hospital are a slap in the face, too.
Take it from me - obsessing over dieting is hell. Life goes on hold for food and calories. One can't start truly living and maturing until food is just there and the rest of life takes predominance. Food intake should be managed, not controlled. And not eating perfectly is just fine, becuase eating perfectly prevents real living, so stop scolding yourselves for drinking hot chocolate or eating a brownie, becuase that scolding is just aiming yourself down a hellish path that is NOT ultimately rewarding.

Brown_paper_bag: GET SOME! they honestly are the highlight of my life at the moment.
especially the cracked black pepper ones, seriously..... WOOOOOOOAH! hahahaha ;)
Thanks! I think I will buy them - the cracked pepper ones sounds yummy!
I was still making the switch. I would only have meat like that on occasion, even back then. I think that a more gradual switch to vegetarianism helps you stay motivated, and it also helps you get used to adding in new foods and trying new cusines.
I'm fully vegetarian now, and have recently gone lacto-vegetarian.
