So; What Do You Teens Do For Exercise?

Quote  |  Reply

I go on walks most days (recently it's been hard with this, like, EPIDEMIC of homework!) with my dog for about 55 minutes.

And then almost every day I do a Pilates session that lasts about 30 minutes.

What about you guys?

i know me too i got o the gym 2 times a week for an hour take dance class in gym and thats all and on tusday i do palaties for an hour

I play a lot of Dance Dance Revolution.

I do quite a few things at the moment.

First, lots of walking to and from campus because if I can manage it I try to get home to eat (10 min or so walk, 1 km each way, normally do that 4 - 6 times a day during the week).

I do 4 days of gym exercise a week. This includes 10 - 15 minutes of cardio warmup where I push myself pretty hard on an elliptical. Then it's either chest/triceps, back and biceps, lower body or shoulders and traps. I do 5 exercises that target those areas (targetting one area each day) and then I do an ab exercise at the end of it all (Either bicycles, planks, incline sit ups or the lower body lifts around a chair). After which it's another 10 - 15 minutes of cardio cooldown exercise, which normally ends up just being a bit easier than the warm up (I skip the cooldown on leg days since I do intervals on a bike then).

I also play in a recreational volleyball league on sunday nights for an hour. On monday nights I go to a beginners swing dance class for 1 hour and then I do 2 hours of social swing dancing. Tuesday nights I do Tai Chi.

I'm thinking about finding a yoga class that I can join too, and if I ever get contacted about the indoor soccer team I joined up for I'll start doing that as well.

-I practice For 4-5 days a week for 2 and a half Hours

-I have Games on Sat. they Last about 4 hours x.x

-I walk my dog every morning (:

-Wii Fit (if that counts xP)

-and...Thats about it :D

Whatever I can.  We don't have a car atm so I'm walking everywhere!!!  also do a dance workout about twice a week and strength exercises in the moring if I have time

i ride my bike everywhere, i never take the bus. <3

Walk the dog three times a day for 20-30 minutes each walk.
Go to the park and p;lay wit my nieces and nephews a few times a week.
Strength training 5 times a week
Jogging for 15 minutes a day each day.
Yoga in the mornings on weekdays.
Hula hooping, Jumping rope and dancing on Sundays for an hour

And then anything that's thrown my way.
Like always volunteering to move my friends in and out of their homes.

(:

i walk my dog 5 days a week after school for about 20-30 minutes. on weekends usually twice a day that same amount of time.

i basically do whatever I can. I babysit my sisters for part of saturdays (usually the mornings), so we go to the park for 2-3 hours.

everyday i get to play tennis for about 30 minutes at school. it's not the most intense workout, but it's not stationary either.

strength training 4 days a week, on average.

i also love to dance and jump around, so i do that for hours when I basically have nothing else to do. occasionally i'll check the fitness channel on our directtv to see if there are any great workout programs that day, and I'll just start hopping up and down or doing whatever that program is for 30 m - 1 hr.

Im also a student aid at school, so i tend to walk around the school for 15 minutes. Eh, it's not much, but it's active.

gymnastics practice for 4 hours a day

weight lifting for an hour in the mornings

cardio/body pump/free weights for 1.5 hrs before or after practice

I have a weight training class for 90 minutes everyday (we also do quite a bit of running).

I walk alot, I used to walk close to 5 miles a day in the summer but school and the cold has gotten me a bit of track.

I love swimming which I'm trying to do a couple times a week now.

I also do track so when it's in season I have practice for about 2-3 hours a day or I have meets some days and on weekends which last like ALL DAY.

I used to do alot more but my senior year has brought some added stress :(

I jump rope for an half hour or more for 3-4 days a week. It really gets your body moving!

Cycle for at least half an hour everyday - 1 hour on tues and thurs and weekends. Do circuit training every tuesday. Do 3 hrs dance a week. Not alot tbh

Hardcore Strength training 4 days a week (1-2 hours each)

Hiit 3 times a week (10-20 minutes each)

Normal cardio (elliptical) 3 times a week (30-40 minutes)

Soft Strength training 4 times a week (30 minutes)

That is like 1-3 hours of working out 6-7 times a week.

I eat 1800-2000 calories a day, around 100-200grams of protein.

Yes im into bodybuilding.

NOTHING!

i'm ridiculous.. i need to exercise. i'll start tomorrow.

ive never seen such ACTIVE teens, or anyone really, my goodness, how do you even find the time?

OHOHCHERRI-i think the ppl posting here workout more than the average person, no worries!

I run 3-5 miles, 4 times a week, depending on what route I decide to take and how much time I have. I love running outdoors, especially when the weather is beautiful like it is now. :)

Jumpstretch; its a rubberband exercise, every Wed. at 7:30 PM
Morning basketball; every Thursday, 7:40-8:45 PM
School gym; Tuesdays and Thursdays
Treadmill; dad's getting a treadmill this week; going to do that every morning and after school; also on the weekend

I use the elliptical machine at the gym 5-6 days a week. 2 days a week (usually weekends) I jog for an hour (600 calories) and the rest of the week I jog for 30-40 minutes (300-450 calories)

I Honestly just do whatever PE there is at school, then go home and study for 4 hours.

Update

Soccer- for the year
Morning basket ball- Every Thursday
Jumpstretch- Every Wedensday
Gym- Tuesday and Thursdays
Treadmill- When i feel like it :)
