I'm 18 and I also plan on going back to my 'original weight', 160. I actually want to weight 150. But my goal is 160.

But I hit rockbottom. Now I have to lose weight and recover all that I lost.

I'm 16 and 99 lbs, 5'7"...  need to gain/maintain

Hi! 15 here; 5'3.5'' and looking to maintain. : )

Well, it's great that you're first starting on this site! That's the first and biggest step in order to maintain. To get started, here are 2 of my favorite and most informative threads:

http://www.calorie-count.com/forums/post/1223 0.html

*A HUGE thanks again to ix and HK for taking so much time and effort to make those. ; ) *

Always remember a few things in order to help you the most: 1. Don't go overboard. There are way too many teenagers out there (including me! : P) who have messed up perceptions of their body or self image and let that interfere with what's actually best or healthiest for them. I don't know your stats, but make sure your goal is realistic and that you will achieve it without going into starvation mode or harming yourself.

2. The best and most effective way to lose weight is a combination of diet AND exercise. While it is possible to be healthy by just doing one of those, it is by far easier and better to do both. That doesn't mean you need to cut out all foods you love in dieting, or that you have to run on treadmill for hours to exercise (assuming you dislike that, like me : P). Find something you love, and stick with it!

3. Drink tons of water. This helps so much, and it drastically reduces appetite. Plus, it's good for your skin, body, etc.

4. Don't get discouraged! This is (by far) the nicest and most supportive site I've ever been on. Don't be afraid to ask for help from anybody, or to become better aquainted with anybody; from what I've seen, everybody here (albeit the one or two trolls that get kicked within a day because they have nothing better to do with their sorry, pathetic lives) is always so supportive, and they're all amazing people to get to know. : )

Good luck, and message me if you need any help or extra motivation! ; )
Hey hey dessy. We have similar goals I see. Let me know if you need some moral support, I'm right here with ya.
Hello I'm 17 years old 5'4 and 179lbs I'm trying to get down to my goal wieght 130lbs ....I've been on diets a thousand times and they never work for me but then i realized it's because i focus on the whole goal wieght in stead of incraments at a time ....so I'm going to try this new thing where i focus on 10lbs at a time and try to loose that in stead of trying to loose 50lbs as a whole
Hey, I'm 15, 5'0 and at 97 lbs. I'm trying to get down to 90.
16, 144 pounds, wanting to lose and go down to about 126 pounds.
17 1/2 (hehe), 123-124, trying to get down to about 115, then we'll see from there. mostly for athletic reasons, i have to be really small and lean for my sport.
Woah; no offense, Ohcyanidexx, that seems awfully low. Oo
I was thinking that. I'm only an inch taller than you honey and my goal weight according to this is like 116 - 126 lbs. You sure that's not a little dangerous? Don't be overdoing it now, I'll bet your quite perfect the way you are.
I'm 17, i've lost 35 lbs, so maintaining!
   I'm 5'9" 136 lbs

Just think about being healthy, not being on a diet, and a major thing, if you splurge a little one day don't worry about, move on

exercise also! :-)

hey, im 18 and at 150 right now, hoping to get down to 130 or so. ive been doing this for about two weeks right now and i havent really seen any difference. what about you guys? ive been exercising (im a college athlete) and im getting nervous that im not as fast and as good as i used to be because im trying to cut back. id be more ok with it if i was seeing some results, but im not. i need some help! any suggestions?
Hey There,

I'm 17 and at 150lbs at 5'9". I had been 185lbs about a year ago and managed to loose it. Now I'm at another plateau of 150 :) I've been trying to buckle down on what I'm eating and the exercise. I have a part-time job that takes up most of my evenings (That's when I use the bike). Have horses too, but don't ride much with this weather...

If anyone also has suggestions on how to break this plateau I've been at for about 5 months I'd appreciate it! :)

- Kendra
17 and approx 147/150, looking to get back to the 130 or so i was before college started. if i can get to 130 i'd like to keep going to maybe 120 or in the teens but we'll see if that happens.  I was an athlete in high school but now in college i've become a lot less active and had much more sporadic eating. just started today and also looking for friends!

hey hazelcat2008 we're on the same page too I'm 16 5'4 175 and want to weigh 120 and i also recently figured that out too, that you should focus 10 pounds at a time not 50 as a whole b/c then you just get too overwhelmed and quit~ what exercises are you guys doing?
THANX you all for replying to my post! you've all given me inspiration and motivation :) let's hope i can lose 10 lbs till' march. do you think thats possible? and also, does anyone want to share some execerise tips? or fasting tips?
