Thats ok! A few pointers! Rememer muscle burns fat! Work out chica! and nothing tastes as good as thin feels.!

haha i have that magnet on my fridge saying that nothing tastes good as being thin feels and another 1 next to it saying keep thin  =D

I'll do it. 18, 5'7. 150. want to be 130, but will settle for 138-140 for now.
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels is a thinspiration phrase used by pro anorexia groups.

So, that makes me worry.

However.

I'm 5'7" and I currently weigh 190. I'm trying to get down to 170 by December.

I'm not sure that's my final goal weight. I'll see when I get there. Then again, I have a distorted body image, so...

Sometimes, I think 150, would be a better goal weight.

By the way, I'm 15.

i'm sarah. 16. and so ready to do this. to just.. get healthy for life! i'd love support and i'm definitely willing to give, so let's do this.

i don't think i technically have much weight to lose. i think i'm about a little over 5'3" (lol, the only short one yet!), and like 120 lbs i think. i think a healthy goal weight for me would be 115. so i'll settle for a 5 pound weight loss, over 2 or 3 weeks.

is that achievable? i hope so. i'm a recovering bulimic.. just kinda getting that out of the way. i'm sick of binging and purging, that whole lifestyle, and last month was my wake up call.. like i need to end this now. so i pretty much got out of that, no relapses yet as of like 4 weeks now? anyways but then, i kinda plunged into this lazy, eat what i want, sluggish lifestyle and put on a little weight.

i just want to be fit, but not obsessed. you know?

anyways. i'm in this for the long haul, a total lifestyle makeover. first healthy habit i think everyone here should adopt if they haven't already?

drinking [8] glasses of [H20]. everyday, people!

 let me know how you're all doing. maybe an every other day check in? should we limit the number of people in this group or no? all up to you, lissjoe. our leader, right? Smile

That phrase is also by a great man! Who inspires people to live healthy. Tony Robbins everyone! Give it up for the man of the hour! I lost four pounds by the way. 148 ladies. It was hard cause I wanted ice cream so freaking bad. And for the girl who was bulimic. If you need someone to talk to I am here. 3 years of therapy for that.

 Alot of that had to do with my sister. she is 5'4 and 128. I am jealous alot, so I took it out on my body. Then I realized..I was bigger than ehr..taller than her and damn sexy! so i didn't let it get to me.

 Another thing my ladies..before and after pictures! We will take one at the beginning of every month and at the end of every month. Don't forget to toen as you go! Do pilates..run! Do what you gotta do to get in shape! losing weight is only the first part to being healthy! Don't forget that!

I'm 14, 124.

I'm aiming for 115-118. Or lower.

I've lost 19 lbs so far, it's been kind of hard to get back on track.
im 17 and i want to join! i wight 133 now, and am looking to get down to 120/125 pounds and tone.

hey!!! i def want to join!!! im 15 and im 5'4", 111 lbs and technically normal weight, but i really want to get back down to the weight i was earlier in the summer. i used to be 104 and i never had to exercise i just didnt eat a lot and i automatically had a perfect 6 pack, a 23 inch waist, and small legs that had good muscle tone. i started exercising a lot later in the summer and i was like o now that im exercising i can eat watever i want. so i started eating like everything but exercising a couple of hours a day and now i am to normal weight from gaining muscle but i also gained inches on my waist and i see more fat on my body. i liked my body before and ive stopped exercising again and im reducing my calories but i always seem to binge now that i got in the habit of eating so much. if someone could help me lose the 7 lbs i gained this summer that would be great!! any tips and info will be greatly appreciated!!!

i'm sure you look fine. 104 sounds pretty low actually. don't beat yourself up over like, a 5-7 pound difference lol! nah but seriously, i'm sure you look fine and are healthy as is. just try n have fun with life, don't worry about your weight right now! you probly needed to gain to be honest.. i dunno.

muscle = good. so once again, don't worry about a little gain.

working out every day for a couple hours is kinda drastic though!!

 

thanks, united2gether for the info. i seriously am rethinking my goals.

and that is to be fit, active, healthy FOR LIFE.

my goals are going to be cutting out more junk food & fast food out of my life, limiting my coffee trips to once a week, and eating more fruits and vegetables. i'm gonna quit obsessing over counting calories, though. the more i restrict, the more i binge.. and i don't want to go down the road of disordered eating any longer.

like it has been said, as teens, unless we have doctor's orders to lose weight & a reasonable plan to do that, aka for those of us who aren't even overweight: i doubt that dieting is the healthiest way to go. eating right, getting your nutrients and being active is, though. and that is what i want to do.

whether i lose those desired five pounds or not isn't a concern of mine anymore.

idk just my thoughts about it all =)

You guys are doing great! And remember 104 is low for a girl of your hieght. and dont forget muscle ways more than fat! It might be those ab's legs or arms! And muscle is gooooood!...IM 15o again! so sad :()

me too lissjoe. Im not in recovery but i still purge sometimes when i feel absolutely miserable. :( anyway u can make your goal I know it!!!!!!! XD
