i went to this site called spark people.com today and it is totally free and it gave me a whole fitness list and planned what i was going to eat everyday, i hope this will help me. it also gave me a shopping list that i could print out.

I am only "dieting" (not really counting calories, just eating better) so that way my "friends" won't call me fat-@ss, thunder thighs, or my personal favorite "towering terror of titanic tummy". Gosh they're annoying!

geez, your "friends" dont sound like very good friends to me. i think thats so ignorant of them to say that. you should stand up for yourself if you already arent. you should be losing weight for YOU not for THEM.

I'm now 147 lbs but i'm having hell trying to lose the last 7!!
I'm only 5 '5 so I'm classed as very slightly 'over weight' so I could do with some encourgement cos i aint lost anything in 3 weeks!! *cries* Good luck with losing the weight I'm sure you can do it!

HI! I'm 14 and I have been on this weird plateau thing since last September! I lost 20 pounds last summer but since then I have been stuck between 130 and 120. I look the same all of the time, but my weight is screwed up. I want to get at 110 to 115 by August 14th because I'm going to Kelowna and I have never worn a bikini. I totally know what you're going through. It sucks. I should be working out right now, but I just don't have the motivation, so I'm trying to get motivated by going on this site.
I now what you mean by needing motivation. I've only joined this site recently and everyone is really encouraging. I would love to talk to anyone who needs an ear or likes listening. I'm 17 and 132 as of today. haha Im 5'2" so I really need to get down to a lower weight. I'd really like to make some weight loss buddies 8-)

Plateaued at 180, fluctuating from 180-189 for over a year now. I'm at a loss of what to do about that, heh. So advice welcome! Buddies are too!

Whats are your diet and excercise regimes? Sometimes when your body gets to used to a certain amount of calories and a certain exercise and it's no longer effective. Try to shock your body my have a couple high cal day then go lower then go higher the end of the week should should be a slightly lower total but because your body doesn't know what to expect it will be easier to lose weight.
As for excersise try something you've never done before Ex: If you only really do running try some kickboxing and yoga. or vice versa

I was on WW for 5 months and that's how I lost the bulk of my weight (-20lbs) but then my mom got tired of paying to go to meetings and it just kinda stopped there. I continued to count points however, but still never had the same effect, people are more my motivation.
I've never been one to gorge on junk food or fast food or anything like that though.
I've also never been a big fan of exercise, so I don't do much (I know I should though) I can't find the motivation (nor the time) to do very much either. During the school year I'm very often at school from 7am-7pm and during the summer I work 5 days a week (7:30am-5pm)
I need some way to just do it without thinking about doing it.
